I'm mostly staying away too.... Must be a ton of impatient kids who are threatening to lose their interest if the game isn't out before **/13 date.

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
Yeah, i'm still checking it out but mainly for some real news or conversations. It certainly is the case of people just interested in the release date. Not much news is being released and people are getting antsy. Now it's a big debate happening with people defending and attacking and i see no need for it. People are just trying to kill the time until there is more news lol. Myself i'm just waiting to hear something new. Still i can't complain as i know they're working away at the game and that's really all i can ask for. But some of the "fanboy" answers i'm reading over there are making me chuckle as well as some of the impatient kids as Ceebee mentioned above. Don't have much spare time these days so don't want to waste it in pointless banter over there....i think i'll save that for hereBtw, are you still visiting the official forums much any more? I know you are/were quite active there. I'm totally avoiding it now - it's just constant "are we there yet" type questions.

Not a chance. STopped looking last week. Just a ton of annoying questions. Funnily enough started by someone who asked that question here and then joined there.

They've rubbed me the wrong way. I can tell you this, i will never buy another one of their games until ootp14 or FHM1 is released. Take that OOTP! I sure showed them.

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
Following on from the great news of the release date and pre-order beta, here are some new screenshots. If you want to look back at all of the screenshots released so far, you can view them here: http://s209.beta.photobucket.com/user/a ... ger%202013
Below I have detailed what each screenshot shows:
1. Player Edit Screen
When Commissioner Mode is enabled, you can edit pretty much everything in game (e.g. players, teams and leagues). We saw in an earlier screenshot the League Edit Screen. Now we have a screenshot of the equivalent Player Edit Screen.
2. Team Lineup Screen
As the name suggests, this screen allows you to set your team's lineup. For each line you can set the ice time (even strength lines) and ice time percentage (special teams). For example, in the screenshot you'll see the first forward line has its ice time set to 22 minutes and the first 5-on-4 PP line is set to play 75% of the time. Note also the option to add a third PK line.
3. NHL Career Stats
This screen shows NHL players' career stats (i.e. the total stats for the entirety of their career).

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
On the second screen what does "IT%" mean? Simply the ice time you want for that line??

Ice time percentage. So in the screenshot the first line of the 5-on-4 PP line will play 75% of the PP time.

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
if only we can see a tactics screen! that would be awesome!
Still, its great to see the attributes are very similar to EHM, and the ability to edit ice time is genius!

Seriously, I am looking at this. And making most of us part of the BETA, and just the base we have. I think we may have something that quickly will be even better than EHM. I see A LOT of potential in the future years and I am quite happy with that!

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
There are some very neat touches on the Tactics Screen. Maybe not so many options as EHM (yet), but some very nice features nonetheless. I'll see if OOTP are willing to share a screenshot.StarboardWinger wrote:if only we can see a tactics screen! that would be awesome!

I, as a stat nerd, absolutely love the career stats screen.
But as already said, there seems to be a lot of potential in future versions.

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
2 things I'm most excited for via these screens.
Training: The simplicity that seems to be shown is what this type of game needs. Not the ability to set all to "intensive" for a summer and maximize progression. Actual thought put into which areas are weaknesses and which ones should be focal points.
Tactics!: This team seems to have hit the nail on the head for the lineup screen. Precise allocations of icetime is awesome, and I'm really interested to see the type of depth that the beta and future versions will have in regards to tactical decisions. And hopefully we can finally do away with EHM's big/skilled bias that makes players like Tyler Ennis nearly useless.

Re: FHM 2013 Screenshots
As a big junior hockey fan I enjoy the GM/Head Coach combined role a little more. It lets me dictate the team play style and acquire players that fit the role as well.dave1927p wrote:lol those are the two things i have little interest inumwoz wrote:2 things I'm most excited for via these screens.

I never got that feeling in EHM so really hoping it's very present and noticeable in FHM.
Although I definitely understand the Armchair GM aspect of the game. EHM didn't give you much choice though, tactics were the difference between a good team and a horrible team.
