LOL...the best part is BBS just picked up Irving. Deal Kipper for Emery, pick up Irving when Kipper gets hurt. I love that. OUch for the other side.

batdad wrote:Timmy-THat trade offer was pretty good. Ribeiro/Ekman-Larson for Kane/Suter. But....I really like what Ekman Larson is doing for my team. And Suter....not so much right now. Ribeiro is providing more assists than anyone on my team, and I cannot let him go for a LW. I already have Kunitz, Marleau, Clowe, Conacher who only have LW listed as position....and so far they are playing alot on the same days between the 3 teams they play for. I have to dress those guys, so right now Kaner gets little ice unless different day, which is too risky.

My right side is where i need some help...willing to move Alfredsson, Neil and a dman (either Green, White or Staal) for an upgrade on the right side and a dman not as high caliber as those three...Green worth a little more than the other two, but not much). Also looking for down the middle upgrade. LW is kind of set though, and Kane not going to fit right now.

Willing also to part with 1 of Eakin, Nielsen or Legwand down the middle....2 of those three sucking right now though.

Jeff Carter and Neuvirth might also be available to upgrade my right side or centre.

Good info on who and why you like/don't like the trade proposal. I finally go to send you one back. (Sorry it took a while I work night shift 10p-6a)

I sent in the decline that I'm willing to work with Henrique and all of my RW's, and I was hoping you'd see long term value in Suter but I understand that you need to win every game now, not later. I would love to get you Kane for one of you LW's but I don't know if he's close to any that you already have.

Jason Garrison is on the block. I won't do a trade without a D-man coming to me, but it could be part of a bigger deal

Fasth will maybe get a few games, but not a ton. Hiller will be the #1 there, unless they move him. Which they won't

Now, Thanks Timmy for the comments, the way you are working things is more sensible now. However...I feel the need once again to explain how trading works for me. Not because of TImmy....someone else who sent me a whole bunch of stats on a trade proposal and threw my proposal under the bus and said no without coming back for a negotiation.

1. I get if the person is completely satisfied with their team, and feels a trade is not needed. That is fine....then say so, and do not bother firing back how naff my proposal was and how one sided it was on MY FIRST OFFER.

2. My first offer of a deal is not going to be the trade. If it is...again...I am either ripping you off and you accepted too fast, or I gave up way too much.

3. My first offer is going to show you who I am interested in acquiring from your team. Sure I try to balance a bit. IE adding in Bieksa for a scrub dman to balance out the forwards a bit.
4. Just because a player I am asking for has more goals than the guy I am offering...who cares? Goals is not it is all about.

5. STOP QUOTING TO ME THAT PLUS MINUS ON YOUR GUYS IN A TRADE IS BETTER THAN MY PLUS MINUS I AM OFFERING YOU. Jesus, when a Florida Panther (example) has a higher plus minus than a Canuck after two games....tell me in 20 whose will be better. Ugh.

6. Again, if you are happy with your team and not interested in trading...fine. But then no need to tell me how sucky my team is.

I am not going to out who this was. That is up to the person.....I see no need to do that or anything. I am not angry with that person, just showing AGAIN...how things work for me.

A counter offer on that move for the players I was interested in would be received with happiness. Sorry..should I have offered Marleau AND Niemi in the deal? Come on,

trades are negotiations....you guys have no idea (as I don't about you) who I am interested in on your team, so I made an offer to see if there was interest in working on a deal. If there is not...all you need to do is say "I am happy with my team, and there is no need to try and improve it right now....so maybe another time"

Not....My guy has 10 goals your guy has 4, my guy is plus one your guy is -1. I have 15 pIMS you have 2. Especially since I CLEARLY KNOW THAT ALREADY and can quote other stats that the two guys I offered you are better than yours in...and can see that your team needs those numbers.

For instance I offered two guys who play on decent teams so plus minus should be good (may not be right now, but will be) for a guy on a decent team and a guy whose team gives up a crapload of goals and players usually are - by the end of the season.

Sure...I am hoping that I Get the better end of the deal but all this offer is at first is an offer to say hey...what would you consider moving this guy (or these guys) for?

My reply to you Batdad is this...I don't think/trade like you. I'm not sure why you think when you are the one offering me the trade, I need to think/reply like you.

If I was approaching you for a trade, I could understand why you'd go off on another preachy tirade, but you approached me...why do I have to do things and think just like you?

I'm not trading Lecavalier for Legwand, even if you throw in Bieksa for Coburn.
I explained the stats because that's how I do things...again not sure why you think others should just think/reply the way you do.

You're the one that doesn't get it.
You always seem to think that you need to explain...in my case I don't care enough about how you do things to change how I do things.

My Trading Block notes "I like most of my players...I'm not likely to trade, but I might be interested in adding more Oilers OR another goalie might be nice"

I'm not likely to move Lecavalier (who would?), and you doing things "your way" doesn't help you pry him away from me

P.S. I didn't compare goals, I compared points - I noted you would recieve 14 points and in return send me 4

Wow this is the cat's meow is it not?

Again, I was inquiring about Vinny. A lecture about stats I got from you is as lame as it comes. Uber lame. I knew that you would not make the deal as it was.
I knew that you would not like it. I did not expect you to be a patronizing piece of rubbish and tell me that my deal sucked. I expected more from you.

But...I guess I got what I deserve considering the above quote.

And no...I do not expect you to reply like me. I expect you to reply however, knowing that what I offered you was not what I expect to be accepted. It was an inquiry. A simple inquiry. Reply like yourself. I am fine with that. But please don;t bother patronizing me with stats. I think I have proven I am not stupid when it comes to the game of hockey. Or maybe not...maybe you know more than me. Or maybe we are even.

I did expect more from you than patronizing rubbish. I guess I should not have. Because that is what I get ALOT WHEN I speak with you on this board.

From now on unless i have an Oiler I will not bother trying to deal with you in fantasy hockey. No problem on my end. Not mad or anything. Stunned by your attitude? Yes.
Angry or upset--No.

So guys...if you want to make a deal with Nino....grab the Oilers who are free agents and send them to him. He may give up Vinny for them.

And I am pretty sure whatever stat is was does not matter. Who cares? Using stats to deny an inquiry makes no sense at all. Tell me what you need, or that he is untouchable.
And finally...I was inquiring about Vinny and what it would take to get him. Not trying to PRY him away from you. If he is untouchable tell us that. Very simply done.

Whoever has RNH should offer him for Vinny and see what happens.

I wasn't trying in any way to be patronizing.
I think I responded to the offer the way I did without giving it the level of thought you seem to expect because I don't do the trade dance...and I'm a numbers guy and it was natural to quote stats (especially given the fact that I would lose in every stat; I was kinda stunned by your offer)
I didn't look at your team because #1 I thought you had looked at my Trade Block and knew how I felt #2 trading doesn't interest me much period (especially the low ball/"negotiate" style).

I have really enjoyed the season so far, but maybe for different reasons...
My daughters and I talk about the Oilers, and they know the Oilers on my pool team, and my wife and I (and sometimes our girls) will often watch Oiler games together...so that's why it's more fun for me when I have Oilers.
And I've NEVER had NHL GameCenter before, and until this year I haven't followed the NHL so closely in many many years...so seriously, I'm happily enjoying myself and learning more about players and following games/teams closer than I have since my youth! I'm just not really into trading, but I'm an active GM and I'm enjoying myself...

Timmy--FYI I know the massive offer I have given you in our negotiations is iffy at best. While I look through your players, I am just not sure we match up well enough in terms of needs and what we have on our teams to make a deal.

Definitely would work with you on this, and likely the 5-5 we have in my offer right now is too big, and too much...as you know from note I attached to my counter offer I did it this way, because I want to allow you the chance to pick and choose from my guys as to how to balance the one position you are looking for, with the guys I asked for.

Sorry Timmy...I had to cancel the trade offer because CAllahan may be back and I had to make some moves involving one of the players I had in the deal. On a bright note...you can now get that player for free if you want him. :-D

No worries Batdad. I looked at it last night at work but I was too tired to figure out a counter offer.

Yay, finally a win! :joy:

I sent out a few one-for-one trades. Just looking to add a few pieces here and there. I seriously doubt I'll get on a roll and win enough games to make it into the playoffs but it's nice to know that I won't get relegated if I remain lousy. :-)

LOL. Probably. Keith for weber? Wow. Gutsy.

Congrats to those who got off the snide.

And two weeks in a row my goaltending let me down. Oh well. Still managed wins. And that may be my highest plus minus week ever.

A good win for you. One of those weeks where all my guys only had 3 games. Plus....injured Hiller getting Wally Pipped for his job.

But if I had known that Lehtonen was going to get hurt...I would have dropped Neuvirth 2 days earlier, and won the two goalies (Min and saves) and then well...who knows. I had kind of given up on the goaltending last week....only got Emery because of Craw concussion.

But nonetheless a good win for your guys no doubt. The Oil really came through for you Sat night. Without them..I had you. :-D

Only gets worse for me this week....Boars and Manimal. And he has more games again. Maybe...just maybe if I make the playoffs this year I will actually have my guys playing some games. :-D
