Oh, we can't have three Swedes in the playoffs anymore. Sorry Manimal but I want a real local rivalry between Surahammar and Västerås. Those games would sell out real quick! :groupwave:

LOL Timmy...I think it is hilarious that I lost the one category that I have pretty much dominated all season long. Dear Ryane: How come no instigators this past week? What is with the scoring and not gooning? Did not need your bloody goals. And as for that...Ribeiro...where was the 17 minutes for stupidity or the yapping misconduct?

Oh and finally...I think that either a trade deadline needs to be set for like right now, or a gentlemen's agreement that the top 5 teams ARE NOT ALLOWED to make trades this week, and through the playoffs (for the top 4) ....to keep things on the up and up.

The trade deadline has already passed. It was after gameweek 7 or 8

EDIT: It seems I somehow missed setting it in game

Wow...Black Bears FHC absolutely destroyed me last week as I lost 1-9-2!

I'm hoping I can win this week so I can finish the season at .500

I just realized that I will end up in a Hell of tough choices when it comes to keeper for my D. Can we expand the keeper limit again please? :p

Great, I gambled with my last move this week and grabbed Enström again as he was recovering for next week, only to have him reported as "week-to-week" instead of day-to-day now. I can actually lose to the Titans now. ](*,)

darn these early games!
I missed doing a change yesterday and I only made one today as I was waiting for information on who was playing.
I have nobody but my self to blame, though

I've made a couple such errors this weekend! Not that it made any difference for me!
I'm getting detroyed again, currently losing 1-10-1 (I lost last week 1-9-2)...looks like I end the season with two blowout defeats and finish 5 wins 7 losses

I really enjoyed the year! Looking forward to next season! :-)

Cool! I didn't realize this
At this point my first week playoff opponent looks to be HC Franzen...when we played earlier it ended 5-5-2 (and I lost due to fewer goals scored)
My team's been at their worst the last 2 weeks!...my biggest losses of the year by far...maybe next week will be better!

Tough loss Manimal, and even tougher to get knocked out when YOU created the extra 2 games for the playoffs. Wow. Painful.

And now am I the only guy who has made the playoffs every year? Or have the Bears or Surahammer been in every year or Vasteras? I am not sure.

I will try and tally up the final regular season totals today, but not sure will have time (The other method of scoring for the fantasy games) so totals may include todays games if I dont get it done.

Great season guys...now off to lose to the Bears. I do not have the excuse of having no games this time around. I have 5 more player expected starts and 2 more goalie possible starts than Bears.

batdad wrote: In the aggregate form, for those who were not here when we started, it was based on the total standings---when you look at the standings page, not the win-loss record we do in the week to week. 14 points are given to each team that leads a category, 13 to 2nd place, 12 to 3rd....all the way down to 1 for 14th place. Ties are added up and averaged. SO if three people are tied for 1st 14+13+12/3 gives you what each team gets which is 13 points. This is the same at each tie level.

SO I took the liberty of doing this for the totals after the 2nd week. It gives you a brief glimpse at where your team stands in a different way. And how close you really are to teams you say you are as good as.

1st place===Corinthians Red Army 137.5 (add up the totals of each category--12 categories)
2nd place===Sancouver Senitals... 131
3rd place=== WIld Boars..............120.5
4th place=== Surahammer Slippers.107.5
5th place====Black Bears.............99
6th place====GLasgow Goons.......91.5
7th place====Cammalleri/Meatbal..91
8th place===West Can Canucks....89.5
9th place====Vasteras Vikings....83.5
10th place===Don't Toews Me....82
11th place===HC Franzen..........76.5
12th place===Prague Dead P......66.5
13th place===Minnesota TItans..56.5
14th place===Concussin Jxn......35.5

#s after week 10

1. Black Bears....131
2. Sancouver...... 127.5
3. Wild Boars....114
4. Surahammer....109
5. Vasteras........107.5
6. Corinthians...100.5
7. West Can.....99
8. Glasgow......90.5
9. HC Franzen..87.5
10. Dont Toews..81.5
11. Prague......66
12. Minnesota...63
13. Cammalleri..42.5
14 Concussion .. 37.5
And now...the numbers after week 12. Have a look...1st set is the numbers that came out after week 2...been a fair bit of change yet not a ton since the start of the year. Interesting jumps in Surahammer score and mine this last couple of weeks and Manimal drop

1. Black Bears 139.5
2. Sancouver 131
3. Surahammer 123.5
4. Wild Boars 110.5
5. Corinthians 107.5
6. Vasteras 103.5
7. HC Franzen 92
8 Glasgow 88
9. West Can 85.5
10 Dont Toews 79
11 Prague 64
12 Minnesota 62
13 Concussion 38.5
14 Cammalleri 32.5

ACTUALLY what I find most interesting....

Cammalleri at 14th place. They went 4-8 and Concussion in 13th 0-12 what a difference.

And clearly the biggest benefitter of our system was Vasteras who made the playoffs this way but would be on outisde looking in the other way.

RECOMMENDATION: WE MOVE FROM 14 TEAMS to 12 TEAMS next season. The botom two teams have NO CHANCE of ever catching up save for waiting 5 years. I say if we can without having to mess anything up....we fold those 2 teams and put the players in the draft for a 12 team league.

Even I didn't believe my team was capable to do this and I don't know how I've climbed in almost every category lately. I owe a lot to my D squad which I think may be the strongest in the league seen over the whole season. How am i supposed to choose keepers? Of course I had a huge benefit with my goalies and only lost when I face much hotter goaltending in the Black Bears.

Now I'm up for an intense struggle with the very local rival of the closest city here in Västerås Vikings. In real life Surahammar would get completely destroyed by Västerås but in the fantasy world non of that counts! :p

I don't have a problem with that. The thing that bugs me the most is that we need people in the league that are going to be there week to week. We already talked about this last season and cut the league manager because he never signed in.

Cammalleri and Meatballs
Concussion Junction
Don't Toews Me Bro

These guys don't even set their rosters. I sent out trade offers early in the season but they just timed out. No reply sent, just expired after the allotted time.

It seems hard to believe that we can't find 14 (or 12) dedicated guys that want to be in this fantasy hockey league...

I don't mind it moving to 12 teams, we'd presumably change the roster and keeper limits? As Timmy says though, surely we can find 14 guys who would be consistently active.

This week is going to be tough enough as it is. Then my team gets the injury bug and Carey Price suddenly plays absolutely terribly! :rant:

No need to change the roster and keeper limits at all. Just boot those two teams, and then put their players into the draft. Gives the weaker teams a chance to pick up a couple of decent players to start the draft of non-keepers.

It is going to be an epic battle Getz between us. As it always is. Our teams match up against each other real well, and the scores are generally tight.

Wow, talk about an anti-climax for me this series. Congratz to the big brother city of Västerås since I seriously doubt a comeback is possible.
Vikings went on a scoring run, my team didn't and in their right mind would bet me as a winner if my goalies didn't win or even play? I didn't and I knew this week was a loss when my goalies just sat out games and there weren't FA's available.

I played the Glasgow Goons in the last week of the season and lost 2-9-1...played them again in the playoffs (consolation ladder) this past week, and won 7-3-2 :-)
