Arbitration...?

Post by Shadd666 »

Hum... Is anyone should explain me what is arbitration and when it shall happen?

I've heard about it only recently, but i don't really understand what it is.. And as it will be implemented in EHM07,it might be a good idea to know what i'll deal with...

Thanks in advance ;)

It's when a player (or a team) feels that they can get a better contract by an arbitrator than what they would get via an ordinary negotiation.

The two sides (the team vs. the player & his agent) present all their arguments and then the arbitrator decides a salary the player should be given. The team then has 48h to trade or sign the player to the arbitrated salary. They could also just walk away from the award, making the player a UFA (like the Sabres did with Dumont now).

Hey now... I didn't see any paperwork here in the TBL Head Office that you were going to be going home for a week; and you know those forms need to be filled out in triplicate as well. This is unnacceptable. :banned:

This might be a stupid one.....but I know that u guys will help me out here....as everytime, lol!!!

To go on arbitration must a player be UFA?? I mean, could a player who still has, lets say, two years left on his five years contract, go on arbitration when he feels he should be getting more money from his club???

I assume that the player must be UFA, but just to make it sure....

...and also, can the player be a RFA to go on arbitration????

And finally: is the arbitration included in the new EHM2007??? Because I dont remember nobody in my game going on arbitration....

Thanks in advance for your answers guys, lol!!

Arbitration is in EHM 2007. IRL, a player (or team) chooses to go to arbitration only if the are a RFA
