The original roster comes when you downloaded the game.
When starting a game, choose 'Default'-rosters and you will have the original ones

If you ever accidentally delete the original rosters, you can download them here: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =77&t=9523

Although personally I'd recommend the 2006/07 UUDB Rosters as they have all of the prospects set up more closely (because the DB was produced with the benefit of hind-sight) and with corrected team and league names, etc: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =77&t=8241

Hmmm...that should work...with a 90-160 Range (-14) it's possible you'll get a low PA and the player won't develop as much as expected (might "retire early")

FYI - I did some Height/Weight/CA testing awhile back, and Nino Niederreiter was part of the test! http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 110&t=8146
I had him as 20 CA and -8 PA, and did three different tests, and this is how his CA developed (starting at 20 in 2006 and showing his CA each year thereafter)
20-56-72-78-83-95-107-116-120-120-120-122-125
20-56-71-79-85-94-109-120-125-125-127

I used the UUDB 5.0 for the testing
It has Niederreiter's Home/Current/World Reputation as 20/20/15

If you're looking to add Niederreiter to a database, I suggest just copying the UUDB version (there's more that may "affect things" - like Staff Attributes, Junior Preference, OFF/DEF Role, etc)

The only reason why im using the roster ive updated every year wit htrades and signings is because its much easier then having the database that has the players ages changed for the start day fix... i start from 2007 and sim my way up so thanks for the advise

FYI - the UUDB does not change the players ages, it "starts" in 2006 (i.e. at start-up Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is a 13 year old playing for Burnaby Winter Club Bruins & Nino Niederreiter starts as a 14 year old playing for HC Davos Jr.) http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =77&t=8241

There's some good advice in the first post here (a thread with some editing guidelines) http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... =45&t=9956

Specifically regarding PA and draft position it says
archibalduk wrote:3. Young Players
For young players who have only recently been drafted (i.e. within the last few years) and are harder to evaluate, use the following guide:

NHL Draft Spot: PA Rating
1 - 10: -9
11 - 30: -8
31 - 50: -7
51 - 80: -6
81+: -5

CA = current ability
CA falls between 1-200

So young players are almost always a 2 digit number...top superstar/draft picks might break 100 CA when drafted, but typically young players (teenagers) won't have a CA in excess of 100
