PSA: So, Be Careful Editing Caps in The Savegame Editor

Post by Primis »

I used the pregame editor to turn the AHL into a league superior to the KHL (just behind the NHL) and put in a bunch of older IHL and AHL teams to make a fun retro-ish 27-team league comprised of fringe-NHLers and guys who fled for overseas.

I also went to drop the salary cap and... I wasn't paying attention. COudln't figure out why NHL teams kept spending and spending instead of cutting some guys... and then I finally went in and looked and found my problem.

So yeah. Always count your decimal places kids. Otherwise that $55m cap you THINK you're setting is ACTUALLY a $550m cap, which is no fun if you're not in the NHL and watching EVERYONE sign away to the NHL clubs. :-(
