Season 1 went pretty much how I expected given I already tried once before I screwed up the data. Managed to finish 8th but lost in first series to the Canadiens.
Offseason was probably the best I have had doing these challenges. In the draft I grabbed Statsny, who I was hoping I could play this year but he is not playing right now, maybe I'll give him some 4th line minutes later. Then I grabbed Norwich in the second who is AMAZING, his starting skills are already high so for a team that needs an offensive defenseman he fits the bill quite well and had 10 points through S2Q1. I also signed Mike Milbury for 1m when Bruins didn't sign his rights. While it isn't historically accurate I signed Vladislav Tretiak for 450K, the prospect of bringing him over was just too tempting and allowed me to trade either Bouchard or Myre (ended up doing Myre for Borgeson).
So far in S2Q1 my team dominated offensively like my usual tactics do but couldn't do in season 1. I outshoot the bad teams 40's to teens and only the elite teams cause problems so far (canadiens, flyers, etc) so I will see if I can finish season 2 before Monday. Ah hockey season and working from home.

Nice grab with Milbury. He got traded to Toronto in my game and they considered him a frachise player. I tried to trade for him (unsuccessfully) several times.

The one who has been a huge revelation for me was Brad Maxwell. Drafted him in the first round in season one and is now playing his first full season in season five and is dominating as a rookie. Leads all defencemen in goals and is averaging a 7.75.

I signed him when his rights were released a few days into UFA. I offered 2/3 "clicks" higher than he wanted in money like I always do (don't know how much that really matters as it seems to be random). However my goalie got injured round 1 so was bounced in round 2. Since rosters are delayed I may try to get through a third season.bruins72 wrote:Nice grab with Milbury.
