The story sped up maybe too much after the training camp. You could have described how Sainio gradually gets used to the Mestis routine, and maybe reveal what kind of role he adapted in the locker room.
I know what you mean, but I've decided, if there's nothing worthwhile happening in the simulation, I'll just rush through it. I'm not going to take the pressure of making this perfect, or give too much thought on how it would be structured ideally, because this is my "day off" from serious writing. With this story I just write for fun. I don't want to get too deep into it, it has to be stress free -- I get enough head scratching from my primary writing project. I figured the training camp would be the most important part of 2015-16. Everything else was "just another day at the office". This way I'll also be able to progress a lot faster, and maybe we'll get to the end of Toni's career, unlike with the previous attempt at EHMFinland and EHM 07.
You did a good job with describing the Trio Areena vicinity, although there are not any tower-blocks in the immediate surroundings of the rink.
I use Google Earth to "look around", and to me it looks like there are apartment buildings there.
Sainio getting the visa in just one day is certainly interesting.
I don't know what the rules are regarding work visas, but if you payed attention, you would've noticed the possibility of training camp was mentioned at the beginning. When he gets the phone call the decision is finalized. So he might've applied for it some time ago, or even when he was first drafted. Also, like I said, I'm not going to take any pressure of getting everything spot on with this story. I'm not a professional hockey player. I don't know it all. I just use a bit of google and assume the rest, and go from there.
