That's the good thing about having 3(!) current starters available plus one fourth on the IR.nino33 wrote:Well I’m up 6-4-2 going into the final games today, and I’ve got 12 skaters and a goalie playing today (I used up all 4 transactions this week!) while the Dead Parrots have 3 skaters and a goalie…so I’m hoping I'll be 6 wins 1 loss by the end of the day
But next week I’m up against Corinthians, and both my starting goalies only play 2 games next week!…as it looks now I’ve got 58 possible skater games (Corinthians 65) and 5 possible goalie games (Corinthians 9)

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
I’ve been pretty happy with my trio of Kari Lehtonen, Mike Smith and Jean-Sebastien Giguere (I’m #2 in Wins, #1 in Saves and #2 in Minutes – you of course are #1 in Wins/Minutes and #2 in Saves)…..my problem for next week is both the Stars and Coyotes only play 2 games next week instead of the usual 3-4 gamesvisualdarkness wrote:That's the good thing about having 3(!) current starters available plus one fourth on the IR.nino33 wrote:Well I’m up 6-4-2 going into the final games today, and I’ve got 12 skaters and a goalie playing today (I used up all 4 transactions this week!) while the Dead Parrots have 3 skaters and a goalie…so I’m hoping I'll be 6 wins 1 loss by the end of the day

My biggest fear is Cam Ward and Quick returning, it will be a killer. Rinne won't be back anytime soon.

I had to bench a LW or C and chose Pacioretty, who goes on an scores a hattrick and the GWG.

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
MAYBE I’ll get a win against Corinthians this week…I’m up 6-5-1 going into the final day, and the key stat seems to be plus/minus
I’m at +9 with one -2 player playing today, while Corinthians is at +8 with one -4 player and one -8 player playing today (I’ve used up my Acquisitions while Corinthians still has two)

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
Gagner, forgot about trying to claim him.
This week is way too close! I got a very very very slight lead but had zero players against four today so I had to bring in at least two, none I really wanted. Not good for my heart.

That would be amazing! Please do it for the sake of the competition in the league (my chances to win).nino33 wrote:MAYBE I’ll get a win against Corinthians this week…I’m up 6-5-1 going into the final day, and the key stat seems to be plus/minus

I couln't access the game on the weekend for different reasons with one more move left for that extra punch. Corinthias managed to shoot two more shots than my team and get a GW to just pass me on sunday.

I am a bit hesitant in upholding the accepted trade as it includes a concussed player.
Those involved, please reason here or in a PM to me

I had to look....I see what you mean Manimal, but these are two experienced GMs here....they know what they are doing I would think by now. And if they do not...well...
Not that I have any say in the matter, but since when has that stopped me from voicing my opinion.

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
well obviously BBS is taking Neal as a the main piece, and taking a chance that Eriksson isnt out long term. Im sure all 4 players are Keepers, my 2 definitely are. I get more assists, block shots. I understand if this trade is vetoed, but im more than happy on my side

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
Is it a trade that I would make? No, too risky and a lose some win some in best case.
But still I feel it's fair enough to go through as forwards generally seems to be worth more than defenders and Chara is getting old.

I just wanted to make sure it(the concussion) was taken into consideration and it was. Neal is the major piece of the deal for BBS and he thought it was worth it. The deal stands

After two losses in a row I think I'll get the win this week (right now I'm ahead 10-1-1)...I think playing the inactive Don't Toews Me Bro team has helped!

Is anyone else having issues with the site itself? It's like it's changed to low quality or something for me... I can't change the date to set my roster for future days and it's making me miss out on dressing some of my players which is frustrating...

I'm getting destroyed this week!
Currently I'm down 1-9-2 with not much chance of even making it respectable...
The Västerås Vikings are a good team (with 3 good goaltenders)

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
I'm 12 wins 6 losses now after my third straight loss...I did what I could making moves but lost due to Gustav Nyquist's 3 goals/2 PP points today!
Lehtonen and Smith haven't been leading me to weekly wins like they were earlier in the season, and this week was another where they didn't contribute like I expect....and Team +/- this week was -18, so my I think this was a tough week for my players (the team is +36 overall this season)

Re: Minstrel Hockey League 2013-14
I see on the Schedule after this week's 7 day matchup the next matchup is a 28 day matchup...that makes sense (accounts for the Olympic break where there's no NHL games), but on the Schedule page for MATCHUP 20 (FEB 10 - MAR 9) it notes "Teams are limited to 16 acquisitions during this 28 day matchup" - is that right? 16 acquisitions?

I bet the game rates the number of acquisitions in comparison to the number of days.nino33 wrote:I see on the Schedule after this week's 7 day matchup the next matchup is a 28 day matchup...that makes sense (accounts for the Olympic break where there's no NHL games), but on the Schedule page for MATCHUP 20 (FEB 10 - MAR 9) it notes "Teams are limited to 16 acquisitions during this 28 day matchup" - is that right? 16 acquisitions?
I doubt I can fix that, but I'll try
