TBL Rosters v6.0 Released

It has been eight months since the final 2012/13 release of the TBL Rosters, but today the first TBL Rosters for the 2013/14 season are now available. You can download your copy here (both CSD Patch and 2006 start date versions are available): http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 67#p163257

Along with the usual extensive roster and re-rating update, the update also features adjustments to the Consistency and Temperament ratings which should result in more realistic scoring, penalty and fighting stats. As this is a very new feature, we really need everybody's feedback on this. We particularly need views on how this affects different leagues. Here is the full changelist:

* Updated rosters for the 2013/14 season.
* Most of the work has been directed towards the following leagues: NHL, AHL, ECHL, OHL, WHL, QMJHL, Swedish Elitserien, Swedish Allsvenskan, Russian SuperLeague/KHL, Finnish SM-Liiga, Czech Extraliga, Slovenska League, Swiss NLA and the NCAA (other leagues have been updated, but to a lesser extent).
* Scoring, penalty and fighting levels have been reduced in order to make things more realistic (this has been achieved by using a 3 - 10 range for Consistency for forwards and by setting every player to 20 Temperament).
* Nearly 1,000 players from the NHL have been substantially re-rated with a reduced Current Ability range as well as re-rated and/or re-distributed ratings across 31 attributes.
* OHL/QMJHL/WHL draftees added and rated.
* The United Hockey League is now used for ten NCAA teams.
* Player career histories updated for 5,772 players (nearly every NHL-contracted player plus a number of free agents and players in other NA and Euro leagues).
* 2012/13 NHL player awards history added.
* 2012/13 competition histories added for all playable leagues, most playable international competitions and a range of non-playable leagues.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Manimal. EHM 2007 wouldn't be anywhere near as fun if people like Manimal, Nino33 and CJ (and many others) didn't put huge amounts of work on roster updates.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS USING THE PRE-GAME EDITOR: It seems at some point today whilst finalising the database, I did something which may now cause the Editor to crash when trying to save changes to the database and/or when exiting the Editor after saving. I have released the database without fixing this because I didn't want to delay the release (I won't be able to look at diagnosing and fixing the issue until early January). In late December or early January I will look at diagnosing and fixing the issue so that it is fixed for v6.1.

The instruction say to set the year as 2012 when using the CSD rosters, however, after starting, the 2012/13 stats are already loaded in the game. Is this right? Will the stats be overwritten? Or should we actually set the start year to 2013?

Because of the above, what is the recommendation regarding the use of that Scoring Realism patch? Needed or no?

Would the player weight adjustment to 200 for all and 209 for all D-men, not even be needed anymore either?


P.S. Hope to be able to start on the project to use these ratings to adjust the 2006-07 UUBD, this week. Might be tough thou.

Thank you so much! I'm so pumped to play EHM again!!

Couple of questions:

1. Is the saved game editor okay for use, or does the roster update bug that as well?

2. Do the Devils have an AHL affiliate in this update? In the past I used the pre-game editor o move Albany to the AHL, I've had trouble in the past developing/having room to put prospects in the ECHL.

Hooray I have been itching all season. I second the question about the 2012 start date as the instructions say, I just tried it doing 2013 and seems to work fine. The only thing that is off is the draft picks.

I am pretty sure that the bit about the 2012 start date was just a typo. These rosters are for the 2013-2014. A 2013 start date should be used.

You want to set the start date for 2013.

How come you can't send down players to the minors if you are flyers?
i have to put them on waiver and then buy them out.
played with other teams as well and never had this problem.
