National Hockey League
American Hockey League
ECHL
Canadian Major Junior (OHL, QMJHL, WHL)
Sweden (Elitserien and Allsvenskan)
Germany (DEL)
Slovakia
Austria
Slovenia (Elite and Interligas)
Denmark
Great Britain (Elite and EPIHL)
Norway

We're also in advanced negotiations with one other (new) licensed league and we hope to make an announcement shortly.

In addition, we have a number of other leagues available (taking the list to over 20) as per previous versions plus we've added two european continental clup competitions as well!

Please, please, please let it be the Swiss League!!!!

I really would like to be able to manage my friends over there!!!

...if not, then US College also would be real great!!!

Anyway, that only would be the icing on the cake because with all the available leagues I wont get bored at all, lol!!!

Greets and thats great news once more!! It seems that the game gets better from day to day, lol!!!

I don't think it will be the US College as they cannot get the player names licensed ever, as that officially makes them non-amateurs.

There is the RSL, Czech and Swiss leagues missing from the list, so any of these three would be good. I hope that the other two of these leagues are available but faked, along with UHL/CHL and US colleges.

Ahh, right, I missed that point, but now that Iam thinking about it u are right there!!!

For me personally it would be great if its the Swiss League!!! I have three school friends playing pro hockey (one played some season in Farjestad (sp) in Sweden) and it would be great for me to coach them :joy:

The RSL also would be great as there are real good players over there!!!

US College would be nice as well as the Swiss League. I'd say the Belgian league as well, but I think only me and Octavian would show any interest in that league. :-p

His name is Marcel Jenni

He played first with Lugano, but then he had discipline problems and went to Sweden, more exactly to Färjestads.
There he played real well, I think he was among the top scorer in the 2001 playoffs and was Swedish Champions with Färjestads in 2002.

Last season he returned to the Swiss League with Kloten EHC (thing that I will never forgive him, because I absolutely hate that club, lol).

He plays also in the Swiss National team and was this year in Torino.

I have also two other friends or classmates who are playing in the Swiss League, but "Schöggi" (his nickname) was the best among them.

I remember when we were little kids he was always playing hockey!!! Always hockey, hockey, hockey, lol!!!

Maybe I should have played a little more, I surely could have made it to the Spanish National Team :-k :-D

Yeah, I know who he is. I loved the way he played, but too bad he was in Färjestad, he should have been in Djurgården. :-p ;)

Nothing major for those of us using the unfaking DB, but they've announced the aquisition of the Central Hockey League licenese. Maybe I'll have to start trying those leagues out this year(CHL, UHL).

A certain longtime SI boards vet and newly registered user of ours one Dr. Hook should be congratulated that all his work testing and researching the Central Hockey League will really show through this year! =D>

Working research/testing on 'faked' leagues is tough detail since the 'faked' player retain the researched stats but get no glamour of being taken as 'real' numbers. Hopefully this will also help people to find/play/create for the league as well. 8-)

I doubt you can say anything about this, Minstrel, but does this CHL license count as that unconfirmed(at the time) "brand new" league/license they were talking about?

3 divisions in Finland? Really interesting! Starting in the 3rd division and try go your way to the 1st division title is an interesting challenge! :joy:

No license for Czech,Finland and Russia?... It's a bit disappointing :-( But as the leagues remain playable,it's not a too big problem.

Nice to see that there will be the european cups! :joy: I think they'd already talk about it,but now it's confirmed! :-D

I'd like to see,in a next version, the Swiss,French, and Italian leagues, even if not licensed at once...

I think that Czech and Russia are currently very difficult because of uncertainty with the league's powers that be making it tough to establish enough of a connection with the people that would actually be able to grant liscensing. Unfortunately given the timeframe and that all liscensed leagues then need to check over the game to assure SI has complied with their agreements it requires a lot of back and forth conversation that can easily get bogged down. :help:

I'm sure that some time soon they'll still be able to conquer the world :-D
