Both born in the first half of 97, so probably the same year... Guess we will have another #2 pick then
(If he keeps developing of course)

LOL. YOu never know...early days yet...but the hype on McJesus has been so high for so long I cannot seeing him displaced unless he gets a SERIOUS injury. Kid is a stud.

Yeah i know, and the NA-factor makes it even harder for Kylington who btw is also a stud.

You have not heard that Philou? I have seen it in several places. Calling him David is not enough, dude is apparently at least the son of God. Which makes me think he should be McGretz, McHowe or McOrr. Except those guys are all gods and Connor has not yet proven himself to be one. SO maybe McDaigle?

If you remove the "n" in Kylington it translates to Coolton. Probably means hes got ice in his veins and will be the new Lidström

You forget I'm living in Quebec. Even if he plays near we don't really hear about what's happening in other leagues. It's Montreal, Montreal and sometimes the Avalanche because of Roy. I just know him because they talked about him one year ago and decided to check him on the net. If not for that they don't talk about him really.

Jack Eichel is another guy to look at in 2015 but I think McDavid will be the top guy

Ryan Strome's brother, Dylan is also a stud, playing with McDavid in Erie

Yeah Strome and Eichel are very good as well. But McJesus is ahead of them for now and with the hype will likely stay ahead of them no matter what.

For sure, analysts are comparing him to Crosby and Gretzky, and he has definitely played well these world juniors

Already his first OHL season was pretty awesome for a 15 years old. His second looks awesome so far as well.

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Note: Last time a 16 year old played before McJesus in the U20 was Crosby... That tells us something.
But I think it's a disadvantage to have such a hype at such a young age.
These days it's far worse than when Gretzky/Lemieux were hyped at a young age...
I'm eagelry waiting for CAN vs. FIN tomorrow.

Go Sweden!!!

Ouch that 4 minutes could hurt alot in the beginning of the third period. Can't say I was impressed by the Swedes in the second period. They barely could keep the puck.

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Wow Canada sucks so much it's unbelievable. They can't even make good passes or keeping the puck on their sticks. Too much breakaways as well the defense is just atrocious. Fucale did an awesome save though around 4 minutes left in the second.
They better step up their game in the third if they want to win but I have a huge doubt it will happen.

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Canada playing American hockey. Go up ice try to do by self. Lose puck. Make pass, lose puck. Cannot complete a pass...
Finland playing some very solid hockey.
Canada needs another one of them there miracles, but I do not see it happening right now....they are just not on.
Yeah...Fucale made a great stop and 4 seconds later....softy as down way too soon when had no reason to be down and moving off the post. Freaking horrible.
Griffin Reinhart just missed the easiest pass in the history of hockey 5 feet to his brother and put it behind him by 4 feet. Wow.

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Heh. No Pouliot was actually okay. Dumba on the other hand...keep shooting the puck into Finn bodies. Ugh. Cannot move out there. Clearly injured.
Love that Bigras actually got a shift at the en. Drouin was terrbile, Mantha was terrible. Lazar and Petan not so good. Horvat only showed up on the last shift. Laughton....perfect Flyer...horrible and no balls.
But that being said....Finland was freaking awesome and played their game to a tee. Canada did not.

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Finland was really good indeed.
Pouliot just got named player of the match. LOL Personnaly each time I've seen him touch the puck it was either a soft pass or turn-around. Anyway the whole team did that all game long.
Drouin disappointed me alot. I was expecting so much more from him. His misconduct penalty was freaking stupid.
Mantha was invisible. I barely heard his name in the whole game.

Note to Roster updaters: Write down the name Juuse Saros. This kid is going to be next big thing coming from Finland. Future Vezina winner.

Yeah Saros was a stud against us, but then again, Canada played poorly at the same time. The upside is we'll be able to get revenge against the Russians from last year.
And about those misconducts, I don't know if Drouin swore or anything, or if he got a warning before, but how do u get called for a misconduct by chirping at the ref?

Re: 2013-14 World Junior (U20 for the Euros here)
Soros played well. Knock on him is same as it always will be....he is small. Lots of guys have been freaking amazing in world juniors and then flamed out in the show. But...that being said, the kid is real dang good right now.
Automatic misconduct for Drouin with the check to the head penalty he was given.
Petan lost it and was yelling at the ref. Not a good idea.

Drouin almost got another 10 if he continued to argue with the ref.

Yeah ref warned him and he shut up. Drouin has to learn to control his emotions, but so do 98% of teenagers.
