TOrts has no choice but to start the 4th line. Henrik is playing hurt. It is not that he would put him out there, but to put out Kesler, Richardson would be trouble because if those guys or one of them tossed...down to a guy who did not even make it through game as it was...Kellen Lain, Zac Dalpe and Richardson or Kesler down the middle (Santorelli hurt)

I do not think Torts WANTED to do it....I just think he HAD To do it. But the dressing room thing...whole other issue there...that was as much to do with Giordano punching a guy with a broken jaw in his first game back as anything.

Torts feels horrible for Lain and what he did there, but ......he should not have done it and no excuse for it. Bad mojo there....shold have been Kassian taking the draw.

BIeksa steps in and takes the faceoff for Lain...but then....does not fight Westgarth and Lain ends up with him any way??? ARgh. Stupid Kevin, just hug Westgarth to death.

Anyone think Brian Burke had anything to do with this? I Bet he did...

Torts going to get at least 5 for his dumb stupid move going to the Flame room.

Hartley getting a fine.

And what is this with the guys being scared of Zack Kassian..what is that the 3rd time in 4 games he has tried to fight and the guy runs away and Zack ends up with a misconduct? Who the hell do the guys think Zack is????? Stu Grimson or Bob Probert? What the Dickens???

Also...Zack...maybe time to wait til other guy drops gloves first. LOL

Best line of the night though.....

Somehow someway, Tom Sestito named 2nd star in Flyer game and HArtley third star. :-D

How ironic that Brian McGratten was the one keeping the peace in the hallway after the 1st period?

I understand why Torts put out his 4th line and understand those fights. After reflecting on a day I think Torts did the whole thing as a show to try to amp his team up. I mean he was LIVID after those two in game seconds, and for what? Bc a guy started with his 4th line? So what? Put your guys out, let them fight and move on. I think that tantrum and purposefully going to locker room over nothing (a big no no) was his way of trying to spark his team out of 4th place in the division. I wonder what was said that made the Flames goalie coach come out livid

I wish i could be a fly on the wall in the meeting with Gillis, Torts, Bettman, Daly, Campbell and probably Shanahan. BTW--Discipline of coaches is not Shanny it is Campbell....but Daly and Bettman are there too.

What a fun meeting that would be to hear especially if Torts lets his temper get him going. It would be AWESOME!1!

I have to say if he keeps pushing the buttons on this team in VAncouver and gets them to play hard and stand up for each other instead of turning the other cheek....it will be a much more fun team to watch.

I love that there is finally someone in Vancouver with a passion for the game who says what he thinks. Still not making me a Canucks fan....Bieksa stepping away from Westgarth to fight Smid and leaving Westgarth to Lain ensures that. Chicken Adam Oates move by Bieksa.

But...it is closer to me enjoying watching them play....next step is to you know...actually show some offensive skill.

Torts get 15 days (retro to Sunday...so 2 weeks...no pay). Hartley gets $25K fine. End of story. Softer on both than I thought they would be.

Pretty darn close to what I guessed for Torts. Figured at least 5 games and 50K though not sure how much 15 days pay is for him. Coulda been worse but didn't expect less and he deserved it.... He knows what the rules are :penalty: :fight:

I think it wasn't worse because there was no fight/real altercation. The only thing Torts really did was trying to go to the locker room. Not sure I agree with the 25K for Flames coach for putting Westgarth for faceoff, but then again the league is trying to get rid of fighting. Going to opposing locker room=no no. He is just lucky there is no video of him taking a swing at someone or I think it would have been worse.

Del Zotto to Nashville for Klein. Weird trade. I thought Del Zotto had more value than that even though he's not that good since well, his rookie season. If a change makes him better Nashville will have the upper hand in that trade.

Del Zotto not AV type. Aaron Rome is...hence Kevin Kline as Rome is not available. LOL.

I think thats a good trade for both teams to be honest. Del Zotto is Adam Oates on the third pair in NYR and NYR really needed a solid right handed 3rd pairing D-man. I haven't seen much of Nashville though but from what i have seen and from looking at the stats Klein seems to fit the bill. Del Zotto obviously has more upside, but he's not getting there in NYR.

Yeah Klein will fit perfectly in NY I think. He's a good defensive d-man. I just thought Del Zotto worth a little bit than just him. Good for the Preds though.

The problem with Del Zotto in Rangers was that he was stuck in the 3rd pairing with barely any PP-time, so he regressed instead of getting better. Change of scenery might do him good.

Edit: This trade might free up Moore to get better offensively again also. He's had to play the right side with a security risk beside him most of this season and the last, might do him good to play on the left side with a solid D-man beside him.

Gerbe...tiny little midget with a gorgeous goal. Semin-tiny little slacker with a great shot. Price-Smurf goalie not so good against Penguins and yanked again. So....Canada...really want that guy for your #1? Never made a big save the entire time he was in net against the Pens. That is quite a few times this year. Plus the old man who gets beat on publicly over and over and over has really looked good in his 2 games back.

WEll I've watched almost all Habs game this season and since maybe 8 games Price is not doing so well but he really did a good job so far this year. That happens to every player once in a while. Anyway all the Habs team sucks since 10-12 games. Goalie can't do everything by themselves.

LOL At Budaj and Fleury trying to fight at the end of the game. darn ref stopped Fleury from doing it though would've been fun to watch. :-D

Price sucks donkey balls. Luongo sucks camel balls, and Smith suck monkey, chicken, camel, and bull balls.

They are all not good enough. Canada has a real goaltending issue. We are not developing good enough goalies, and have not been for about 15 years.

All 3 are capable of hot streaks...and for Canada to win gold one of those three will at least have to have a 2 game hot streak. Not sure it will happen.

I agree with that though. They're good goalies but I don't think they are THAT good for a tournament like that or the playoffs.

Yankee Stadium. Ice is BAD BAD BAD. Snow not helping now. And the goalies are really struggling, although not that really any of the goals were all on them. Brodeur and Lundquist not big fans of this I do not think.
