Or else we should be able to set up a rule of a limit and send it to all GM's, I would for sure accept it.

Another great matchup with Manimal for me...earlier this season it was 6-6-0, and now early on the final day of this week's matchup and it's 5-5-2 8-)

Yeah, it is close
I wish I hadn't missed to make changes earlier. I wanted to replace Dubnyk sooner but never got round to it.

My second tie with Manimal this season! 8-)

The first time was 6-6-0, and I won because I had scored more goals
This time it was 5-5-2, and Manimal wins as his Wild Boars outscored me this week

Finally! After 4 straight losses, I've won a matchup again...it's 10-1-1 for me right now!

Playing an absentee GM helped!...alas next up, Corinthians (and Lehtonen might be out)

My RW is sure getting hit hard with injuries...with Daniel Sedin already out, I've now lost Tarasenko and Kane in recent days...doesn't bode well for the playoffs :-(

After leading all week I lost my final regular season game in the final hours of the week (actually I tied a game for the third time this year, but lost for the second time on Goals For)...so I enter the playoffs on a two game losing streak.

Sunday games are over...and my playoffs are over :-( as I lost 4-7-1

I really enjoyed the year! I was certainly "active" as I made the third most moves

Took the last playoff spot with a 13-9 record
I wish I hadn't let Steve Mason go early in the season HaHa (making moves to try to win that week) but Lehtonen/Smith produced well for me overall (I was 4th in Wins, 2nd in Saves and 1st in Minutes)...Injuries to Sedin, Tarasenko and Kane hurt my offense, and not having Tarasenko/Kane available I think hurt me in the playoffs...but I was an "average" team (finishing 5th-8th in most categories), and a long shot to win a game in the playoffs

Congrats to Surahammar Sloppy Slippers!
Also congrats to Black Bears FHC!
Good luck against Västerås Vikings & Corinthians Red Army!

Would have been 4th most if that Freddy Express team was still the Black Ice. :-D

And someone else would have missed the playoffs completely....

And I would have lost the semi final...

Oh, last round was way too close, nice fight nino! Usually I live by my goaltending, but it's pretty brutal now.

](*,)
I'm out.

I lost all my goaltending this week and that made me vulnerable despite having a lead before the weekend. When I saw Vikings making four moves (I had none left) on Sunday, all stocking PIM players I knew I was screwed. Well played, well played. So this year I lost by two blocked shots or one SHP/PPP whie performing well in most other categories, I just met a smart opponent.

Corey Perry saved me this week! Losing into the final period of the Ducks game he scores me a PPG to mean I tied one category and took the lead in another!

Repeat of last year's final... Good Luck Västerås Vikings!

Congratulations to Lidas and his Västerås Vikings on winning the championship!

I intent to continue with this league for next season. If you feel anything needs to be changed then let me know and we can discuss it here.

Player acquisitons is no longer available, but trading is now open.

For now, the keeper limits will be the same. Six forwards, three defensemen and one goalie

I think we should look at changing the shorthanded points category. I'm not a fan of being able to win a category due to just 1 point... What does everyone else think of this?

I'm OK with the shorthanded category myself (because it increases the value of players who play the PK) but I'd drop Game Winning Goals...I haven't thought long about it, but I think I'd like to see "Hits" replace GWG

GWG is the one I always thought about as well. But the problem with the hits stat is it is totally unreliable, and dependent on some guy in a rink who works for the team. The inconsistency of the way that stat is applied makes it completely unreliable and horrible. I get the idea that it makes a Clutterbuck more valuable. But there are a ton of players out there that make just as many hits as him...just that the buildings he has played 1/2 his games in (Minny and NYI) ....are skewed dramatically. I wish there was a home and road hits statistic out there...that way everyone would see really rapidly how horrible those hit statistics being recorded are. In Minny in particular he used to get credit for hits when a guy fell down on the ice within 30 feet of him.

My understanding is along with hits, shots/saves/blcked shots have similar issues...and they're all used.
I just think hits would allow for more GM activity/interest than GWGs

I also like the idea of hits as it gives use to a different kind of player than GWG. We already have lots of offensive, scoring stats and having something else would make more players useable

I am fine with it being in there, sorry just mean to say it is THE MOST contentious stat in the league. Shots and saves are nowhere near as skewed...there is much less of a grey area on them, same for blocked shots. Did the puck hit the goalie? Did the puck hit the dman?

hits--the definition of a hit is body contact which separates a player of opposing team from the puck. Some rinks and stats guys think that the definition of a hit is did the guy love tap the guy and even accidental bumps get called hits... others..the guy has to go through the glass...and others...even the elbow to the head chicken wing and the leg drag Samuelsson get the call as a hit....and there is ZERO consistency.

Shots/saves/blocked shots the grey area for a dufus homer is MUCH less. Still some...I think it is LA where you have to hit the middle of the net or goalie to get a shot credited, when you are the visitor...and the home team just has to shoot the puck within the general range of the rink to get a shot.
