What is funny is they are still AWESOME.

Stenstrom is a stud (2 100 pt seasons already)
Yakupov is a stud.
Bjugstad has not yet been dealt
Couple of decent LW (most teams have a hard time at this position)
Barzal will start scoring more this season with more ice time.
Drabek-was a 1st rounder and will make the team this year (after winning rookie of the year in AHL) Another scoring C.

Defense has 5 guys that are top 4 dmen. with two more on the way, and that is even though they traded 2 top 4 guys and a top 6 guy.

Goalie is set with Chernov and they have a 21 year old who did really well in the minors on his way up.

That team...I do not think it is possible to completely wreck in 1 year. Maybe 2 or 3.

Tremblay got a better size and a better performance rate. Work rate sucks, hitting as well and his defense attributes are mediocre as well.

Despite his performance ratio and his smaller shape Granqvist seems a better choice. Clearly slower than the other dude (5 agility!) his work rate and his better defensive attribute makes him a better choice IMO for a third line task.

SO you say Granqvist Philou? He is a dman though, but coach says I need both dman and LW...so either way.

Remember guys just going to put in a claim...not sure I will get my claim of course.

Oups I thought he was a foward as well. Well.....your d isn't THAT bad with Grossman now maybe you should go with Tremblay. But his work rate really bothers me. Did you have scouts reports on them? I'm guessing not.

I do actually, but I am not giving them to you guys. You can tell from the avg ratings they have, and the attributes they have what they are. Or you should be able to.

I'm in St. Louis on a month long road trip. Youngest stepdaughter is getting married on Valentines day and we also get to see 2 more children and our grandson who all reside here as well. Then it's off to North Carolina and Florida to visit family as well. Don't have much time to hang out online so I'm afraid I can't really give a fair opinion. I will post occasionally and when I know I have some time, will ask a question for feedback. The trade I made today was because i wanted to keep playing that I did that one. Consistent with my rule though, so I am good with it.

I will likely do something around

1. Resigning or releasing to UFA one or two of my big name UFAs
2. A deadline day deal.

Very interesting post on the blog. The UFA situation is....weird? Disastrous? Such good players standing there doing nothing, is the cap at the same level as the vanilla game?

Good job with Elliot as well. Don't know what's so special about him in your game but he seems solid.

Yeah cap is the same level as regular. Nothing changed. This happens in the old databases alot. Not sure about the new ones, but older guys who want big $ do not get signed until January and February..then they get cheap deals for 2 years, and are back in the pool and get big raises after that.

We shall see about Elliott....

I would choose the younger ones personnally. Hogdson doesn't look that good but I think with the roster you have keeping one foward and one d is a good idea. If you don't think you need a foward then keep both of your big guys.

Problem with Zadorov is that he asks alot compared to Buffy. But at least he seems good. Only 3 assists and 7.62 ratio. He's stable in defense it seems.

Hodgson performing better than I thought he would.
Buffy doing about what I thought....NOT MUCH.
Zadorov thinks very highly of himself, and so do scouts. I do not.
