FHM 2014 Patch v1.6.2 Released

Post by archibalduk »

The first of two major patches for Franchise Hockey Manager 2014 has been released today.

The new patch most notably features revamped training and scouting features. Both features are now much deeper and work a lot better than before. There are also notable improvements to the development of players (e.g. they now grow in height and weight in a more realistic fashion), the AI and the hiring/firing of non-playing staff. The game also features 4 new playable leagues: Swiss Nationalliga A, Asia League Ice Hockey, Federal Hockey League and Suomi-Sarja.

The second major patch is now in development. The headline feature for the next patch will be the match engine and tactics. From my own perspective, I think once the next patch is released we'll see an FHM that is much more like the sort of game I was expecting to see come release day last September. I think this is really positive news indeed and the game may start catching the interest of more users. The only thing that I expect will be holding me back will be the clunky user interface which, in my view, makes navigating the game and setting lines, etc very awkward. Hopefully this is something that will be improved for FHM v2.
