Bruins still got it!

Post by BBFan417 »

Marco Sturm - 11 points in my 2 exhibition games so far
Paul Mara - 6 points
Dainius Zubrus (got from Capitals) - 6 points
Zdeno Chara - 4 points
Glen Murray 4 points

So far I'm doing pretty good I think, I can't believe how well my Marco - Dainius - Murray line is doing =D> :joy:

LOL!!

In my game (I have started as unemployed and Iam now in November) the B's are the top candidate to get Zach Hamill or Esposito in the next draft!!!

Well, its normal, half of the young guns from the B's are missing or playing elsewhere (Kessel in Saginaw, for example!!!)...

My last exhibition game was a 14-0 thrashing by me, but that isn't saying alot....

Exhibition games will usually be huge victories if you are playing your actual lineup.

That really rubs salt into old wounds

I don't think I'll be taking control of the B's until there's a patch (and hopefully) roster update from SI to address the fact that (from what I've heard) several key prospects rights are not owned by the Bruins like they are in real life.

I've played 2 regular season games so far. I've won 1 and lost 1. The first one I won in OT shootout. We were tied 3-3 up until then. The next one I lost 4-1. That was just bad! I'm thinking these guys could do better though. I think it's just my tactics because I don't know what I'm doing. Maybe I'll let the coach decide the tactics but still use my lines? I signed Ryan McGill. He's got to be better than how they've rated Dave Lewis.

Chara has been my man so far. I don't quite see why Tim Thomas is rated better than Hannu Toivonen. Toivonen's got a glove and blocker rating of both 13! Thomas has both 16. That's just not right. Bergeron is doing okay with Sturm and Kessel (I had to trade Boyes because he was of no use to me as just a center) but his stamina isn't quite right for the top line. I also traded for Erik Cole so I'd have a LW to play with Savard and Murray. That line should work out nicely.

I'm actually playing in the Danish league (7-1-0-0 actually),but when taking a look at some NHL players, just for fun,i've seen that DiPietro only gets a 1 year contract! :-?

For sure, the game doesn't support his awful 15 years contract, but it was said he would have a 10 years one in the game...seems it's not the case...

They've got him playing RW but he's really a C. He should be listed in the game as a C/RW or RW/C. THe game makes him only a center and not an effective RW. It's one of the many issues I have with the database. By looking at the ratings the Bruins players got, I'm guessing it was done by a Montreal fan.

Ohhhh......guys, that trade will hunt us our whole life...u will see!!!

Well, Iam thinking of doing the same thing as u Archie....I have started one as unemployed (december and still looking, lol) and also one as the Bs manager, but I will probably wait until the first roster update!!

LOL!!!! Yeah bruins72 I agree once more with u:.....the B's roster was made by a Habs fan for sure!!!! :-D :dunno:

I'm currently fairly happy with the Bs ratings.

This is all exhibition
Murray has 4 G in 5 games vs. the NHL, 16 goals and 9 assists in 3 games vs. ENHL, Shean Donovan has been a revelation, his speed really adds a dynamic to the third line, he's +7 in the 5 games vs. the NHL, and I skated him with Murray and Sturm in the last two NHL games and he got 3 goals! Kessel has been solid, even though he hasn't been getting tons of ice time (skating on the 4th line, he did get a goal in a pre-season matchup with Los Angeles). I only with the Marco-Patrice-Boyes line was playing better: 3 goals, 6 assists in the 5 NHL-opponent games.
