NHL EHM 2005 after 10 years...

Post by Kopi »

Ok, its 9 years but we can maybe fantasy that next year they might do a new version or kinda re-do the game.

Is there a chance? After all just this forum does a lot on research and DB so what Rizz and the gang should do is use one of past FMs and ...we dont need 3D engine...

Whats your opinion? Does anyone have any clue if there is any chance that this could happen? Anyone talked ever to Rizz (i know he follow this forum as well), etc

To my knowledge there's never been a public release of a database update, retro database, or new/improved editing tools for EHM05...the database updates, the retro databases, and the new/improved editing tools all connect to EHM07...so I don't think they're much of an indicator to the posibility of an update to EHM05

Technically it will be 10 years only in the spring of 2015 as I believe the original release of NHL EHM 2005 was around then. Due to the lockouts etc. we only got into the FM style release cycle for NHL EHM 2007 which was released in the fall of 2006.

But no, there aren't any kind of updates planned for EHM 2005 despite the anniversary.

At some point yes. I've always maintained that EHM is not dead, just hibernating and waiting to be resurrected some day. Santa just hasn't brought me those 48 hour days I have much wished for, since the regular 24 hours per day leave me little time to do hobby coding :-#

That sounds like a good idea to be honest. I love Football Manager 2014 (I have over 1,200+ hours in it), it helped my passion for soccer grow. I would LOVE for Sports Interactive to make Eastside Hockey Manager 2015/16 and see what they could come up with.
