Yeah, there seem to be fewer/no Canadians playing any more. I'm not sure why. But, to be honest, I would rather see British players playing for the team. It's a good experience for them even if it means we struggle to perform.

Incidentally, the import rule in the EIHL is being increased each season for the next three seasons (12 -> 13 - >14 in 2016/17). Feels like we're heading towards the ISL era again... :dunno:

Wow Guildford have made a strong start to re-building their roster. Thus far we've signed two very decent British EIHL'ers - Matt Towe and Danny Meyers. :-o :joy: Once we add in the imports, we're going to have a seriously strong side.

Shame Danny Meyers has left us I allways liked him as a player.

Is this the fantasy thread? It really goes on for a long time about something called British hockey? How can there be so many posts about something that does not exist? I mean, I have heard of guys living in fantasy worlds, but to make all this up...including teams and leagues and players? Are all you guys on the FHM boards posting about customization? Do you all live in the real world? Or are you dreamers?

I think we are seeing early effects of the new EIHL import rules - best to get out while they can! One thing though it will hopefully make the EPL more exciting, if so I'm all for it ! :joy:
