New Online Hockey Sim Looking For Testers

Are you passionate about fantasy hockey? Do you enjoy following the NHL? Do you know the value of trading Joe Thornton after 3 games versus trading him at the deadline? Are you interested to see the next evolution in online fantasy hockey? Then you might be a good volunteer to help test a new competitive online hockey sim!

The game is online only meaning you cannot play without an internet connection and you will be playing against all (or mostly) human GMs. The test league would be a 30-team NHL with the latest statistics and a new rating system that is similar to EHM. All ratings are based on real NHL statistics and update frequently over the course of the season. The game is not designed for historic replays nor fantasy player development. Instead you focus on developing your GM skills as you "level up" and expand your staff to help improve your team. If you get fired or choose to leave your team you bring all of these abilities with you. Players will develop exactly as they do in the NHL since their ratings are based 100% on their NHL statistics in real time. Drafts would consist of real NHL rookies. This makes trading and acquiring assets very interesting as you must evaluate the real players and their stock value as time goes on.

This hockey sim is currently in closed Alpha testing and I am looking for volunteers that can spend 2+ hours per week on average to help find bugs and provide feedback. Test phases would not be every week and with each version it would bring new features to test. If you are selected to join the testing you must agree to an NDA and EULA for privacy reasons as all testing must be kept confidential. Currently only Windows is supported.

OmegaTheory and I briefly discussed his project before he posted this thread. It sounds pretty promising; especially as he's actually at the alpha stage.

I have been continuing to work on this new simulator and thought I would share a screenshot in these unfortunate times of the NHL 15 next-gen debacle. Here is a work-in-progress of the player card and it also shows the layout of the game as it functions similar to EHM 2007 in that you flip through panels to access information quickly.

There is a chat area at the bottom to converse with other players logged into your server (league). The timers in the bottom left show when your team's next game will be simulated, or if you are not a GM it shows the next league game. The LOCK is a short duration when the server will not allow trades or any roster/line movement as games are being simulated in real-time.
