Guten tag, djsek!

Yes, EHM 2005 facepacks work in EHM 2007. However, very soon we will have some new and improved facepacks for EHM 2007. :)

Hey Folks...... ;)
just to let you all know:
I'm working on NEW Cards (Template again from Graphic-Mastermind Minstrel) for the NHL at the Moment.
I've done Cards for all Players on the NHL-Rosters beginning with Forename A-O. The Cards are ready but i need to put in the right Birthdays to work. I got the Database at the same time as most of you. (yesterday- late evening)
So it may take a little Extra Time, but i'm working on it.

There will also be a Draftpack 2006 at a later Moment.....

Split this one off so we can focus on the team cards :-p And I guess it wouldn't kill me to post a preview eh? Keep in mind this was just put together testing the template with the first images I put my hands on :-p

Image

The 'banner' portion is this year's version of the player flags, each player will have a flag backdrop... obviously the player name banner was inspired by the 2007 skin and the ability to put background images behind logos was what gave me the idea to put in the flags in that position.

These are designed to work with both dual pic versions like this that combine a large action shot and an inset 'mugshot' pic as well as the standard single picture mugshot or action pic! Also int he template is a version that the inset pic is on the left side that can be used if that's a better location based upon the action pic used for the background.

It's an application of all the lessons we learned doing the 2005 cards. I designed the template to address all the issues and still create as many options easily and still ahve them hold a unified look that matches up with the new skin/interface. You'll notice they are wider than previous cards; I did this to give us a more natural layout to accomodate action shots. They were tested in 07 though and will still fit on bios with some room around all edges, promise 8-)

Wow, that is a great looking photo! I did dump my 2005 pics into 2007 but I can see I'm going to be doing some overwriting of files

ok folks...the time has come! ;)

tbl's own cardsmith is proud to present the "new and improved" cards.

Beginning with the awesome template created by minstrel, i searched the net for pics, pics and more pics.

hope you like the actionshots i decided to take.

so three facepacks are on the way to the server:

NHL Cards A-D
NHL Cards E-J
NHL Cards K-O

you can only grab them here at TBL...

BTW: NHL Cards P-Z - Work in progress

These new cards look sweet guys! Thanks for doing this again, and if you need help with different leagues (NCAA, CHL, AHL, etc.) Let me know and I can do some after I get the template all figured out and mastered.

I have to say, I developed the template but 99.999999999999999999999% of the credit goes to D88 who just rocks so hard it's hard to accurately quantify

This is the first time I've actually seen the look and I have to say they look AWESOME, even better than I thought they would! Great work once again by Devils88; but then again waht else would you expect from TBL's Resident Cardsmith?

THANKYOU DEVILS88!!!

A quick report of a few errors I found. Daniel Alfredsson was missing the full birthdate on his filename, so you need to change that to make it work (missing the 2 on 1972). Also, John-Michael Liles is missing. Thats all I've found so far! Nice work D88, the rest look awesome!

I have a NASCAR race tonight, so I cant test them in the game right now, but from what I have seen they look really, really awesome!!!

Great jobe Devils88!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....once more

Just a thing: I have put my players pictures from EHM05 in the 07 game.....I suppose I just have to say yes when the PC asks me that the file I try to put in the folder does already exist, right??

Cant wait to see them in the game!!

Impressive work D88. I give you a lot of credit for not only putting player pictures together, but including action-shots(Something I had a heck of a time trying to find for a few players I wanted to add to the news action-shots pack for EHM2005.

There are still some lingering DOB related quirks so yeah if you you wind a player you know should have a card isn't showing for you check the file date with the in-game date.

Sometimes the dates shift in the DB. I've been talking with Graeme and Phil about this during testing. It is especially an issue for staff members. The Big G had some ideas but they couldn't be done until patch time and I doubt it will make the quick-patch but SI has surprised me before so if it goes in I'll let you know

Just a thing: I have put my players pictures from EHM05 in the 07 game.....I suppose I just have to say yes when the PC asks me that the file I try to put in the folder does already exist, right??
This was a tough decision for me but I've decided that we needed to switch player pictures to .jpgs (now that a bug realting to their display was cleared up in testing) to save users download time and drive space as well as saving TBL buckets of bandwith.

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet but in EHM2005 the game prefered it's own .ehg/.png format over .jpg so there is a possibility that you'll have to remove those files to get the 2007 cards to show. It's a bit of a hassle but I felt the tradeoffs were well worth it:

.png files get very large very fast so just for one card the difference can easily be 150k for basically the same image quality. So we just added 500 cards which average about 30k each and you don't need to be a math major to see the savings in download time and bandwith when multiplied by the number of downloads these popular projects draw. So I hope people understand

WOW - these cards rock!!!! What an amazing template and what amazing work to get so many done so soon!!

Speaking of the template, will that be available for download. I used the old one to create a few players here and there and to make cards of myself and my buddies when I used the editor to add us in. It would be awesome, I remember last time Ministrel released it with some notes on how to use it. THat would be awesome again :)

I will be releasing the template as soon as possible actually; it's very detailed however and the only existing directions are actually a private message I sent to D88 a month or so ago when we worked out the details of what we wanted to do for the template.

So I do need to write up something more official and targeted to people who might not have worked with the cards and/or the multiple layers/layer sets that are in the 2007 Template  Once you do know how it works though it is set up to provide for the dual pic style with the inset picture on either the right or left side, as well as provide for single picture styles in two sizes... both with an accompanying blue 'frame' like the one you see as the background for the inset pics in the dual-style cards. And of course the template also includes the flag backdrops for all countries just like in the '05 template.

I'll let you know when it's ready, I might be able to pull it together later today.

I know there were some Cards missing....about 20.
Liles was only one of them. Biggest miss is Jarome Iginla, i don't know why i missed out on him.
I'm working on the missing ones, and the few wrong Birthdates (when i cropped the pics photoshop deleted all characters over 30 for mac users). Thought i found them all.

I will release a Version 1.1 if they are ready.

Also i'm hoping to get a few actionshots of preseason games for guys in their new team sweaters.
I found some and put them in, but most of the teams don't have much photo-coverage of preseason games....

Absolutely awesome work, D88 :ohyeah:

They look absolutely incredible and they really 'feel' like real trading cards. Hats off to you for putting this together so quickly and to your renowned high quality  It must have been twice the work as the old facepacks as you had to find both action and face pictures :-o
