New Bread of Dogs in Hamilton (Hamilton Bulldogs EHM 07)

Post by MKoivuFan »

Just a few notes. I am using the UUB 6.1 roster continued by CJ as well as the realism ehm 07 patch, basically started the file unemployed and then this is where the story begins

May 2007

May 25th

With the Montreal Canadiens struggling over the past few years, the Montreal Canadiens decided to sell the team to the Molson Family. With that being said after the past struggling seasons they have decided that it’s time for a new direction. They fired Pierre Gauthier and started to begin their search on a new GM for the Montreal Franchise. With not many players signed they have their work cut out for them and to bring a winning brand back to Montreal. As Montreal has Hamilton Bulldogs as their farm team we know what it is like for the Canadiens fans of how success they want to be. As I sit at home in my Hamilton apartment as i just finished my smww hockey gm and scouting course I have decided to fill out application and fax it to the owners of the Montreal Canadiens who hire staff for the Hamilton squad. Growing up being from Hamilton and being a Hamilton fan I know what fans expect from the team to be successful. As I sit at my computer and look at the possible future of the Canadiens we have a bright future. Marc Bergevin has his work cut out for him and the team, before I look at all of the clubs rosters, a few hours after I sent in the fax I have received a phone call from the Montreal Canadiens to let me know that I have been named as the new Hamilton Bulldogs general Manager.

Our clubs Rival team is Rochester Americans (Buffalo/Florida)

The board must not be happy with the last gm because he does not expect much of me my first season.

Montreal Canadiens 2006-2007 Season:

82gp 41-35-6 .537 178 GF 196 GA 12.6 PP % 84.5 PK % 88 Pts 9th East 2 pts out of a playoff spot, 19th overall

Top 5 Players:

Alexei Kovalev – 80 gp 33g 36a 69pts +31 34 PIM 246 SOG 7.81 AvR

Michael Ryder – 78gp 18g 22a 40pts +1 32 PIM 156 SOG 6.78 AvR

Instead of the Gainey, Gauthier and Carbonneau era, before i started the file i put Marc Bergevin as gm, Rick Dudley as ass gm and Michel Therrien as head coach to see how well history would change from 2006 to present.

This past season Bergvein made the following trades during this season:

Mathieu Dandenault to Tampa for their 3rd in 07

Stars 5th in 07 to Minny for Peter Ratchuk

Garth Murray to Blues for 4th in 07

Sheldon Souray to Calgary for Dustin Boyd and Kris Chucko
