EHM 2005 league fixes

hi,

so Im about to start new game in a week or two and i never change clubs in pre game editor before. As Slovenian I normaly start in my league and big goal is also to win International league where also Hungarian and Croatian clubs play. What happen is that after 2-3 seasons Hungarians and Croatians become so weak that basicly its just another Slovenian championship going on..

In my previous save i tried with save game editor to rise reputatuon of those clubs to the level of CSKA Moscow and even gave them lots of money yet they didnt bring any great canadian or american or someone from top european countries..hell they didnt even brought any good Hungarian or Croatian (any domestic guy). Was it the league reputation that matter?

I notice one thing that Italian teams and French or Swiss ( all unplayable like Croatian or Hungarian) brings good Canadians or Americans....ok i guess French language can be a key here + league reputatuon.

Ok so my plan is simple:
- Reputation of this international league to rise to reputation of Slovakian league
- Insted of 3 Hungarian teams want to let only one Hungarian team, one Italian (Bolzano or Milano) and one Swiss and let Croatian Medvescak in it. Rise reputation of all teams to the level of teams in Slovakian league if they are not already greater..

So what to do to let this league run smoothly? As you know only Slovenian teams change in the international league depends on how good they do in slovenian champiosnhip so other teams stay the same year after year...I want other teams stay challeging to Slovenian ones..

Want to make this league as a nice challange so any suggestion?

What do i have to do with teams from Hungary that i want to cut out...is it possible i wont be able to do it and replaced with new ones?

Ok after 1st season again Slovenian teams were way too strong for them. Probaby as Bolzano. Zurich, Medvescak and Alba didnt buy any players yet (i did put the Interliga reputation from 6 to 8, I rise everyones club reputation by 1000, so slovenian teams have 4000 now while Medvescak 5000 (+3000), Bolzano 6000 and Zurich 7 or 8000).

So was expecting a nice transfer window between 1st and 2nd season and it did happen...Zurich did bring few good AHL players (40-50 points per previous season in AHL nad few NHL games exp.), Bolzano was not active much at all, same goes with Hungarian team yet Medvescak bought two players from abroad (Austrian and Latvian that never ever happend before). Slovenian teams did not bring any players from abroad as i guess 4000 is still a small reputatation to get good canadians or americans...
Also very important i sim with only nhl and slovenian leagtue so i can expect when i will start playing with all leagues that there will be more players available and game will be way more fun.

So after 2 season Zurich already become a quality of 3rd slovenian team and cant wait to see what will happen in 3rd season and how the transfers will go for them. Need to find a way to make Bolzano, Medvescak and Alba more active..I know i should somehow put English as 2nd language somehow to those teams (countries) as that is very important (can anyone tell me how?) to attract Canadian players...thats how Swiss team gets easier Canadians by its French language..

Edit: Or i might add French team in the league... Goal is to make interliga as challeging as possible with teams that are not playable and that its keeping realism..

Language has nothing to do with it, I think. Only reputation
Make sure the team budgets can handle import contracts, too.
You can also try to boost the GMs reputation and raise the management skills on the Chairmen.

But the big question is, why are you playing with the EHM 2005?

Ok 3rd season Zurich started to sign NHL guys which is great and they won the interliga So i guess will make Bolzano as good as Zurich or a bit worst and i sure need to do a lot with Medvescak and Alba s both end up last always. Now that will be a challenge then playing with Slovenian team and win Interliga.

Language does a lot as lots of guys tell you "they are not ready to move due to different lifestyle and language" or something like that...ofcoruse reputation also has big role. Also if i as a manager play only with Slovenian nationality i hard get a job just about anywhere and i can be a champion 10y in a row...i wrote back in 2005 or 06 to Rize about it and he told me problem might be as in the game Slovenians dont have as 2nd language English (like it is in Football Manager)....Thats why i normaly start playing as American or Canadian as manager so at least can move abroad.

Why EHM 2005 as i dont have 2007 and i cant buy it...will wait if FHM end up any good.

I don't think it really is language. That is more just a phrase. It has more to do with the adaptability value as I've seen it with players and staff that speaks the same language.
