Plymouth Whalers

Now that we've released a new version of our roster update, I've decided to do something I haven't in a long time. That is, to actually play the game.

I've chosen to play in the Ontario Hockey League, with my favourite team, the Plymouth Whalers.
I can't say why they're my favourites but it is probably from my time as a huge fight-fan. The Whalers used to have some very active fighters like Gino Pisellini, Nate Kiser, Jared Boll and Tom Sestito.
They have also had some good players. Stephen Weiss, James Wisniewski, David Legwand, James Neal, Chris Terry and Tyler Seguin.

The Whalers have had success in the OHL. One-time champion but they have made the playoffs in every season since they were founded in 1997, something not matched in major juniors. That success has come largely by the work of former GM/Head coach Mike Vellucci, now with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Speaking of the Canes, they and the Whalers share the same owner, Peter Karmanos. IRL, he has just sold the team and they will relocate to Flint, MI. They're having a name-the-team-contest and one choice is the Flint Tropics. That was the name of the team from the basketball comedy 'Semi-Pro'

This year's team has disappointed IRL, but have some good players. F Sonny Milano (CBJ), Connor Chatham (NJ), Viktor Crus Rydberg (NYI) D Josh Wesley (CAR), Alex Peters (DAL) and G Alex Nedeljkovic (CAR) are the drafted players. C Will Bitten is a future star.
Crus Rydberg (SWE) and Yannick Rathgeb(SWI) are our imports.

So, I hadn't gotten very far with this save when I got the news of EHM:EA being released.
Now it is time to say farewell to the Whalers with a new save, this time in EHM:EA.
Looking forward to starting this when I get home from work tonight
