I know this looks like I'm trolling, this being my first post and all...But last week I saw SI making tweets to a lot of people within hockey media, and since I haven't seen any mention of it here I just wanted to point it out to you guys. The message was always:

"Hi. We're working on something we think you'll be interested in. Please follow us and we will DM you more info. Cheers!"

I don't know... I mean Riz has been talking a lot about "if I made another EHM game then I would..." lately... But he's done that before and if it was all up to him I'm sure we would have had a new version every year so that in itself doesn't mean much... Those tweets sure are intriguing, but I don't dare hope for the best quite yet... My curiosity is piqued though...

I've barely played FM15, but would play the hell out of a EHM 15 or 16.

Was thinking the other day that FM was getting to the stage with the way it's built that with the editable league-structure and database that with a different match-engine it could model other sports like NFL, Rugby Union/League or...Hockey (Ice not Field, who'd want to play 'Field-Hockey Manager 15'???)

There's so much scope in the recent-gen of FM to model the different leagues, structures and International management of modern Hockey. The way contracts are handled at different levels of the game as well.

As long as they model it down to at least EPIHL (Preferably NIHL2-level) in the UK! #golightning

I don't want to get my hopes up for a new EHM, but with them specifically targeting hockey media, it's hard to imagine it possibly being anything else

With that being said, I really hope it's something they've already worked on behind the scenes and are now ready to release later this year. Because, I'm quickly growing tired of this "Early Access" culture where we get excited for ideas and dreams, and then wait three or four years for something to actually come of it.

By the way, I was just looking over the full list of people they tweeted, and whatever this project is, it looks like they're aiming for a bit of a presence on Twitch and/or YouTube, as I noticed Juicetra and TmarTn among the people they tweeted. I know Juice is a big hockey fan; not sure about TmarTn, though.

Also, Miles has been hinting at the 26th of March. One tweet in Esperanto(?) translates to "In the evening of March 26, 2015 comes resurrection #projectouch". And another from binary as simply "26th March 2015."

I'm about to lose my $#!t, fellas. Tomorrow, Eastside Hockey Manager 2016

I love Hockey, and EHM (like CM/FM for football) has taught me so much about the tactical side of the game.

And how brilliant that something like this can get a bunch of (presumably) grown men so excited

The latter part is not really true. I don't think I've ever gotten paid to play floorball

I did just complete my 9th season in a row in Finnish 2nd division last weekend, but our team is purely amateur (like most of the others in the div).

It would make sense. There is a hole in the market in terms of floorball sims.
