Challenge #36 – Philadelphia Flyers

What better way to celebrate the release of EHM: Early Access and the TBL Rosters v7.4 with the start of a new EHM Challenge! The new EHM has a toughened trade AI and places greater emphasis on the defensive side of the game. This Challenge is going to be really interesting indeed!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS CHALLENGE IS FOR EHM: EARLY ACCESS ONLY! Please do not compete in this Challenge with EHM 2007. EHM: EA will be released later today!

We’re going to keep things simple by using the same rules as Challenge 35. However, we’d be really interested to hear feedback on how the rules perform under the new game and whether you think anything needs adjusting. I should point out that owing to the fluid nature of the new game (i.e. regular patches/updates), this Challenge is a bit of an experiment. I don't know how likely it'll be that we'll see a new update which renders a saved game incompatible. We'll just have to see how it goes.

The same goes for the rules - maybe they will need tweaking after this Challenge given the changes in AI.

Yes. I think we can consider this challenge a big test of the rules with the new game and hopefully we'll get a lot of feedback on what needs to be changed in regards to challenge rules. My hope if that we can eventually get rid of a lot of the rules and play it fast and loose like we did in the old days.
