Trading difficulty went up quite a bit. Not as easy to grab those quality roster players. Looking forward to the challenge. Took over the Arizona Coyotes, team is getting massacred out there. #tankformcdavid

Pens o/c .... getting Despres back from the Ducks and trying to win Genos 2nd cup =D>

P.S. omg, trading seems to be a real weakness in EHM....did 2 trades and commited highway robbery - bad start for EHM:EA

Curious as to what those trades was, being a Pens fan myself. I just sent Scuderi packing for a 3rd. Bye bye waste of cap space.

Started as Predators, had a great success and made it to Stanley Cup Finals, sadly Lightning were better this year (2-4).

Second season begins and last years Art Ross & Maurice Richard winner Ales Hemsky gets put on waivers after two games by Stars :-? :dunno:

If I want to start with a worst team in EHM in any league and anywhere then all the way up to NHL, which leagues should I load?

Started with the Montreal Canadians don't see much difference in AI Trading. Just traded Tokarski and a 4th for Hammond. Also moved Weaver,Gilbert,Emelin,Eller,Desharnais,Flynn,Parenteau and some 2nds and 3rds trying to get a younger core. Picked up Despres,Tarasenko,E.Kane,Myers.

Roster is Currently like
Pacioretty-Galchenyuk-Tarasenko
Kane-Plekanec-Gallager
SmithPelly-Prust-McCarron
Bornival-Mitchell-Weiss

Markov-Subban
Beaulieu-Myers
Despres-Petry

S-Price
B-Hammond

So far about 30 games in the season we are 18-7-5 floating around the conference price is by far the reason we are doing this good. are top scorer is Tarasenko with 26 goals and 15 assist. after would be patchs with 20 goals and 11 asssit and than Galchenyuk with 13 goals 32 assist with i find is really good 30 games in.
McCarron is having a standout year on the 3rd line and also playing some PP and PK. hes AVR is 8.60 which i find is really high for a 3rd liner he has 67 hits 30 PIM and has 6 goals 8 assist. so far happy with the game seems to play good in the early access and i am trying to convince as many people as possible to buy and support this great franchise and product. only thing i miss from EHM 2007 is that when you clicked on a player you had all the options on the left hand side as of now we have to click a drop down menu on the top right it is nothing big but it was just way more faster to call up and send down players and resigh them invite to training camp etc.

I'd say you'd want to start in the Mestis and the look to head either to the Liiga/SHL/ECHL and then onto the KHL/AHL and finally the NHL. I'm not sure where you'd put Canada in that list though... Maybe along the same lines as the Liiga/SHL/ECHL. :-k

I'd load as many leagues as you can. You can put most of them on View Only to begin with so that the sim doesn't slow down too much. I'm almost certain you can switch between View Only and Enhanced via the Game Settings (so long as you at least load them as View Only when starting your new game).

So Mestis on Enhanced while all other leagues on view only won't hurt?

That should be fine. But it would do no harm just to double-check that you can switch between View Only/Enhanced in the game - I'm sure you can, but it's not something I have for a long time.

You can select all leagues as "Enhanced" and select how you wanna simulate the games in options later. And switch simulating speed on different leagues dependant on which league your currently playing.

Just had a brutal game at the Joe vs the Kings.

Im 5-4-0 and just getting into our swing, whilst the 8-1-1 Kings are dominant.

Anyway 1st period, we got 4 up, 3 PP goals from Tartar. We split the 2nd period 1-1, again we score on a PP... before the 3rd kicks off, theres a mass brawl, Clifford of the Kings gets 10 minutes as he basically wrecks Smith! and then we manage to add a 6th to romp it 6-1.

In total we had 11 Powerplays and the Kings had 37 penalty minutes :D

I didn't play 2007, but as I get older I find myself more interested in sim games. Hah!

I started as the Jets. It's somewhat liberating to be able to waive or trade players you're not that keen on.

Just started a game with the Wild!

I discovered FM a few years ago, so I was beyond thrilled when I heard that this was a hockey version of FM!

n00b question, can facepacks or logo packs be applied to an active save, or would you have to start a brand new save with the new logo pack?

I ask because I noticed that in the one I downloaded, the Stars logo is their old logo, not the current one. If I can apply a new logo pack to my current save, I would do so, but it's not worth starting over from scratch just because one logo is wrong.

Thanks!

Would you settle for Jeff Finger?? :-p

going to start working on the challenge tonight - aside from that, I'll probably run a fantasy draft to start things out and only pick players > 37yrs old... Will make it interesting to see how the new game handles an entire team retiring within a few years. Essentially will be relying on free agency + drafts to build a team. When I tried to do this on the '07 the game crashed...

I just went out and bought a brand new laptop, just to play this game. Old laptop wasn't hackin' it, and can't play this on my Mac. (And yes, I justified buying a new computer just for this game  )

Time to see if I can bring the Dallas Stars or Florida Panthers to prominence!

playing with colorado, and scoring and conceding a lot (this is due to my tactics, of course but I'm just scoring too much).

and at the beginning of the season, they ranked kings as one of the bottom teams ](*,)

I've just completed the 2020 season as the Leafs and managed to steal the draft pick for 2nd overall after I won the lottery in the 2015 draft. I've won the cup twice (2018 and 2019).

Connor McDavid went back to junior after about 10 games as an 18 year old. 333 GP , 98 G , 162 A , 260 Pts. Rookie of the year winner. Great playoff performer and considered one of the top 10 centre's in the league. He is a very good player but a long ways from elite. He does not make the players around him better like he did with Erie. Still young at 23 years old. He has yet to reach more than a point a game in the regular season (but exceeds Pts/Game in playoffs)

Eichel played another year in the NCAA after the draft, and then a year in the QMJHL where he tore it up - he wasn't ready for full time in the NHL. Rookie season was great with 52 points. 244 GP , 49 G , 82 A , 131 Pts. His offensive production has decreased each of the three seasons where he most recently got 33 points in 74 games. Time for a change with Eichel. My team is backlogged with talent down the middle so it might be better for him and I to part ways.

Guys, try and trade for Hornqvist. I moved Kessel for Hornqvist and Ian Cole. The move worked out for both teams. Kessel has torn it up getting over 39 goals each of the 4 seasons...playing with Crosby helps. But Hornny has turned into my Fan Favorite player and can actually provide a deadly 2 way game and great playoff performances. (7.78 average in 4 seasons with 77 points in a single season....kessel getting 86 points but a lower 7.38 rating...he stunk without "the kid")

Going to add a new GM to the mix to take over Montreal once they struggle. Then only compile the team with French canadians.
