Bugs & Crashes in EHM 1

The problem starts as soon as I load up EHM, therefore, I am unable to use/access the preferences screen.

I think there was some command line option in EHM2007 that allowed to switch between the windowed and fullscreen modes on start. But I'm not sure about it.

There was but that didnt work on my system either. I cant see one for this version of EHM.

And I've now a new issue:

Further from my issue re screen resolution problems, I decided to reinstall the game to see if that helped. Unfortunately, when attempting to load the game, my screen goes black, nothing happens and I cant escape from it. The only way to exit this, is to turn my PC off at the wall and back on again, something which I would rather not do.

Any suggestions?

When a club wants to loan a player of mine, the club's name does not show up and when both parts accepted the loan contract, all up at the player's name turns black

This actually seems to be a Swedish team in the TBL DB with no shortname set. Hence it won't appear. I'll see if that can be safety checked in the future.

There is an update now available which fixes this (and a few other things)

Another useful safety check would be where a team or league has all colours set to black (there are a lot of minor leagues and teams we added for the purposes of career histories where no colours have been set - so they default to all black in the Pre-Game Editor).

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but my game crashed while I tried to import EHM07 training schedules. The game first noted that it couldn't import them and then crashed with the Error: get_player_attribute_value() : invalid parameters. So while I understand it can't import them (I just wanted to test), I guess it shouldn't anyways crash.

Playing WHL trying to sign a scout . Board will allow 12000/2yr . I can't increase the salary over 1,600 per year but I can decrease it or offer a signing bonus.

Ehh... EHM keeps freezing on and off when a game is played, is that a problem or?

loving the game, here's some things i noticed (let me know if this should be elsewhere)

All NHL league

-often when a player gets suspended for a game misconduct on a computer controlled team, the news will announce it right after the game, then the next day, announce it again, sometimes as longer. (immediate announce 1 game.. next day, says its a 2 game) . both announcements come up in the 'news'.

-player bio, relationships. team names missing, example, Manny Malhotra's says : 'He does not like 's Glen Sather very much.'

- I'm finding my 4th liners are constant 'very low' morale. not sure if working as intended. the aforementioned Malhotra, and Torrey Mitchell, as well as my third pairing d-men (I have Methot) are all 'very low'. they get +14 minutes a game, they arent putting up huge numbers or anything, but they see PK time as well. Not sure how to make them 'happy', so to speak. again, could be working as intended, just seemed odd that every player is 'very low' unless they are on the top 2 lines.

- another one i'm not sure of, I noticed that Mike Ribeiro was in the news twice a week for a month, being criticized by the media. When i looked to see what was up, he had decent stats, but had been on IR the whole time he was being attacked by the media. They ended up trading him.

again, not sure if these qualify as Bugs or not, and if needed, i'll delete/move this post. thanks

Everytime the news reports about a players streak or a milestone Ie

"North Bay Battalion's Nick Paul kept his point scoring streak alive by notching a goal in the game against Mississauga Steelheads

During this steak, he has scored points in 10 consecutive games

**The game ended in a 4-4 tie**

Ottawa Senators currently own the rights to this player"

Now obviously the game can't end in a tie as the OHL has had a shootout tiebreaker since 2005-06
This minor thing was in EHM 2007 as well. Not a big deal overall but still there.
Also checked the schedule and the Battalion won 5-4 in the shootout, so the game is properly recording the stats, the news is just buggy.

Just got an error message during an auto save.

"TRAINING_CAMP_MANAGER::save_to_disk() : unable to open the zip file"

Not sure what it means, my game didn't crash during it, I just clicked 'OK' and moved on with my game

I can't assign an "Unused" practice schedule to any player. Is it just me or a bug?

Not really a bug, but a graphical issue. Those buttons under my name are really hard to read.

Havent had a single exhibition match arranged since 3rd season. Now 5th, and still nothing.

It seems like a lot of games in a row from 11/2-11/5. Four road games back to back to back to back is going to really wear out my team. I looked at the real life schedule and there's nothing like this that I could find. Is it something that could be looked at or adjusted? Thanks.

Can't play an exhibition game with 4 goalies in camp. Get the improper roster message and my assistant sends a goalie to the minors.
Jeepers, now to play my 4th exhibition game it sent my 3rd goalie to the minors.
