Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
I think it would be a great kickoff to the new EHM to enter a brand new challenge. It should also serve to liven up the community just that extra little bit.
Time to go brush up on the challenge rules as I wait for 4:30pm so that I can go home and buy the Early Access release.
Does anyone else feel a sick day coming on? I hear EHM flu is going around...

Actually, I'll be left alone and able to play more at work than at home.Mattias.William wrote: Does anyone else feel a sick day coming on? I hear EHM flu is going around...

Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
I will try this. It will be my first challenge so I hope I won't screw up
(I mean the rules. I can suck, that's not a problem
)
EDIT: Just to clarify... the Player Stats I need to upload each Q are only my team players, right? So, not league best players but mine.

Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
As someone said in the TBL Rosters mistakes thread there is a mistake in the rosters so Philly doesnt have any 1st round pick in the 2015 draft which really sucks for this challenge
Would be cool if we could get a quick fix before alot of ppl really get this challenge going...

Me too, but i would assume noone has gotten very far, it all depends on the DB-guys and Bruins i guess, we might have to deal with not having any picks

Quick question... regarding the "Core Roster and Homegrown Reporting thread", What exactly is the point to the letter grade? Are we talking A=key, B=core, C=depth? Cannot find more information regarding that thread anywhere.

The letter describes what Tier the player is, read through the gameplay rules (scroll down to "alternate gameplay rules") and you will understandMattias.William wrote:Quick question... regarding the "Core Roster and Homegrown Reporting thread", What exactly is the point to the letter grade? Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
Yeah I'm really sorry about that. However, seeing as we've already started, I think it best we continue as is. It wouldn't be fair to force people to start over or allow some users to have the additional pick. Just treat it as an extra part of the Challenge.Peter_Doherty wrote:As someone said in the TBL Rosters mistakes thread there is a mistake in the rosters so Philly doesnt have any 1st round pick in the 2015 draft which really sucks for this challengeWould be cool if we could get a quick fix before alot of ppl really get this challenge going...

The pick issue will be fixed for the next roster update (no ETA on the next update at the moment however).
I just saw it on Twitter and absolutely love it!geckon wrote:That can be interesting as well.Peter_Doherty wrote:Me too, but i would assume noone has gotten very far, it all depends on the DB-guys and Bruins i guess, we might have to deal with not having any picks

The alternate rules are in place for #36? I need to read about the core players then I guess.

Did you do this? Who ever is doing this... I love it! Brilliant!

What a great way of integrating social media and the game. I actually find it to be better than a straight up blog or story in the forums.

Yes. We've used the alternate rules for the last few challenges. We probably should have made mention of that in the announcement. I think it was just overlooked with all of the excitement over the new game coming out.geckon wrote:The alternate rules are in place for #36? I need to read about the core players then I guess.
Sorry for the confusion.

No problem, hopefully I will understand it all after re-reading it (I thought it wasn't in place so I only read it quickly).bruins72 wrote:Yes. Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
For downloads, you just need to have the TBL DB that we're all using with EHM:EA. You'll also want the Core Roster Rules spreadsheet. That's a handy reference that shows the kinds of trades you can make and the required ice time for the various tiers. It also lists the tiers of the players in the league.
The rules for this challenge are all laid out HERE. If there's anything that there's any confusion on, just ask in THIS THREAD.

So I posted some of my questions in the thread. Hopefully someone answers them
Also I found out that by the alternative rules I can fire twice as many scouts and assistant GMs. I may use that rule

Re: Challenge #36 - Philadelphia Flyers Discussion Thread
You know, I forgot that I had changed that rule to allow more. I totally spaced on that and didn't take advantage of it in the last challenge. I'm still in the preseason on this one (I've been really slow to progress because I'm taking my time and spending lots of time on TBL), so I've got time to can some more guys and change things up. This is good because I'm not really liking the coaching staff here.geckon wrote: Also I found out that by the alternative rules I can fire twice as many scouts and assistant GMs. I may use that rule
