But it's so fitting 8-)

Just thought I'd let you guys know, there will be a poll to decide this weeks Power Player trophy for MVP performance. I chose Gore to take the trophy last week because of points as he was up against Chicago's Defense and I didn't want people to think I was playin' favorites :-D So if anyone wants to nominate a candidate for Power Player you can post here or at the League Page.

For me it's a really tough vote between Rex Grossman and my Monsters of The Midway the absolutely 100% certified Bad Ass Bears defense!!! Can you say 7 points allowed in two weeks?? But the final vote goes to Rex because 4 TD passes is half a season's worth of offense from last year. The amazing thing though? A win next week and we go to 3-0 in the division since da Bears first three GB, DET and MIN are all Division games due to a quirk of the schedule.

That really gives them a giant advantage to fast track themselves to the playoffs by being the Division winner; which really is just crazy talk! Bears football of late (say last 10 years) has been every bit as bad as Hawks hockey. The only way to sum up the feling of the city right now??

I believe I've served my rightful time. Now I think we should all forget about the past and focus on the upcoming season. I dont have anything against the tag (you dont hear me complaining when you put it on) just that it doesnt represent anything good. So yea, please be so kind and remove it. :-)

Yeah mark you'll have to catch us in hockey fantasy 8-)

Okay boys, can anyone stop the 506th?!? 200 points?!?! Are you kiddin me?! :help:

More trophies have been handed out after that performance of course but Joe and I were able to claim weekly honors as well. Check out the trophies section for all the details.

As mentioned we now have a poll up at ESPN to decide this week's MVP. It's not just about points so I've put together a top three to for the vote.

My guys have done well in weeks one and two, but week 3 is looking a little weak. My top point scorer, LT, with 44 points, is having a BYE week. Terry Glenn, my 3rd best reciever, is also gonna be sitting out. But don't think I'm not expecting to win!... so be ready Renegades! ;)

Well well, how about that start by Da Bears?? 3-0!! And better yet all division games so that goes a helluva long way toward securing a playoff spot in the first games of the season. A little uneven today but they got the job done and with such a young QB you'd rather have him face an overcome adversity (he threw one real bad interception that was run back for a TD as the Bear was only at the 6) than have things go perfectly. Since they did come back and move the ball in the air and on the ground including a late touchdown throw you have to be okay with the mistakes as lessons learned.

I liked the halftime adjustments as well and the defense continues to get big plays and change momentum so it's very exciting times in Chicagoland :joy:

You know... I've been smelling something funny all day today and I can't figure out what it is... oh that's right, it's that "new trophy" smell from my third demolition Man trophy. ;)

We've played 3 weeks so-far... I have 3 trophies for biggest margin of victory... So if my math is correct, I have one kick ass team... :joy:

You are a baaaaadddd bad man. I welcome you to the 3-0 Club :joy:

You totally have the DM wrapped up this week no doubt, we should just engrave your name on it permanently I think!

Since nobody voted for MVP last week I think it's pretty clear that Westbrook takes it with his insanity this week 33 pooints right? Whose team is he on again? I'll get trophies done tomorrow probably, a little late this week but I think y'all understand why 8-)

I can't wait for next sunday night's game; I think I'll have a party to watch that one! What a clash of titans; we'll see if the Bear D is for real against a high power offense and they'll see what they can do against a high power defense. I have no idea what to expect, hopefully not a repeat of 1984's giant clash Dolphins v Bears  but thsi town ain't been this excited about a team since then, and that includes the White Sox winning the World Series last year. This is was and always will be a Bears town.

Is it just me, or does ESPN have the slowest and most inconsistently performing site on the entire internet? :-?

Without a doubt... one of the myriad of reasons that I no longer play Fantasy Hockey there. It's a simple case of their pages having far too much content and mutliple ads on every page with live scores and etc. etc. too many scripts loading too many elements from too many different sources. Take that combined with being a sight that always has super high amounts of traffic with thousands wanting to load the same image from the server simultaneously and yeah it can realllllly brutal sometimes.

BTW - I'll be doling out a double batch of trophies this Monday evenin covering the past two weeks

After our weeks 1 to 3, my team was a major let-down this week. L.T. getting me a whopping 9 points... and both of my QB's pulling a 180 from last week :help:

wow, this week surprise the heck out of me! I WAS prepare to lose...I didnt even bother to acquire a WR so I wont have a BYE this week. But heeey, ya never know! I cant believe my team can actually break the 180 point mark.

argh...almost won the Demolition man award, lost by 2 points to Minty. But at least I got the most points award!

Yeah, it was a bizarre fantasy week for sure. :-? My defenses and kickers have been huge so far and this week? Single digits mainly! My free agent add-ons at WR were what carried me really. The only expected performance was McNabb lighting up the Pack tonight. Sometimes ya just don't know :dunno:

BTW I'll be doing the trophies later today or tomorrow mornin; I've kind of got a migrane keepin me from wanting to read much right now :headache:

The trophies for the past two weeks are now up on everyone's pages; I removed the negative 'awards' and the Player of the Week since it just didn't quite fit with the rest of the awards I felt.

We'll be looking for someone to take over the newly renamed Nowheresville Nomads but if we can't find anyone luckily I left my buddy CP as co-owner and he could pick back up for next week if needed. 8-)

Good news/bad news situation here amigos... good news? I got another solid owner to take over the Nomads; the bad news? Now you'll have to try to beat him  Some of you know him from the Forum Draft Leagues and now you can welcome him to the TBL Gridiron's Stateside Division as well, OneBadMan =D>

Uh oh, Minty, I think I just may have taken your undefeated season... unless Berrian and Rex have huge games and Gould does nothing, of course. ;)

... :-k And dagnabbit - I was planning on unveiling( :nerd: ) my new logo for this weekend, but I was sure I'd lose to a 5-0 steamroller of a team, so I decided to wait 'till next weeks game. :thdn:

Yup, this one is a bit embarrassing to lose really as I had a full squad going too... (not nearly as embarrasing as the near loss by my Bears to the Cards tonight where the Cards snatched defeat from the jaws of victory) I actually was going to play Delhomme over Grossman and Delhomme puts up 22 points. The thing was that even with that change I'd still have come up short :dunno:

I think our league is falling apart, 'cause not too many of our owners seem to be managing anymore :-k I'm seeing a lot of bench points being earned by players who should be filling in for injuries in some starting line-ups. :dunno:

I've admittedly not been updating the trophies and stuff just because I've been so busy with TBL  But I have been active with the league, active losing weekly (and weakly I guess)

I will try to go back through and get the trophies caught up again this week. Would anyone care to take over that dept though? If someone could check the week's scores and figure out the averages and who should have what award I can type up the "news clips" portions, it's just getting the time to figure out whose RB had the highest average points and such that has kept me from keeping them current really since I hate math

Everyone makes the playoffs though so even if a few people aren't as active as before hopefully it will still come down to those of us still keeping track with the game for the title.

I'll try to post something to the thread every saturday at some point to remind people to check in with their teams as well.

If this would be just the trophy aspect, I think I could do it... since I'm on there fairly often to either manage my team, or just to see how the league is going. Some extra calculations would hardly put a dent in my daily internet browsing routine. :nerd: ;)

That'd be great, 'cause really I have TBL items that I still want to get around to first. :swamped:

I've given you the power/clearance to add/update trophies now  There's nothign tricky about it, all the descriptions tell how the trophies are determined. What I did was make a quick chart of trophies and teams and work through the boxes one at a time and each time a team got a better score in a category I'd cross off pervious teams leaving me the numbers and teams that won each trophy when I was done. :tiptap:

BTW I can't believe that 195 points wasn't enough to take the High Horsepower trophy this week!!! darn that Regimetn of yours!!
