Definitely needs more leagues. One of the real downers playing EA so far is that there's only 5 countries to choose from. Outside of the Big 7, British, Swiss and Germany need to be added (along with the Spengler Cup!). Slovenia would be a nice re-add as well, and Norway I think often doesn't get enough love.
Outside of that, though, I think there's not a huge need to add more leagues. Of course, get as many as you can anyway.
Put in order of gaining interest/importance of the game
1. NCAA: Having the Canadian Hockey Leagues with new prospects is great, but the next step should be NCAA.
2. NLA: The Swiss league is one of the best in Europe
3. DEL: Same reason as NLA
4. Champions Hockey League: Something more to strive towards than just winning the playoffs
5. EBEL: Good European league
6. EIHL: Seems like a lot of British people are interested in the game
7. More second tiers: To have a nice promotion/relegation system around the leagues
8. The better European junior leagues (MHL, Swedish SuperElit, Finnish top junior league (sorry I don't remember the name), Czech top junior league)
I hope to see all of this in the future
Added: I totally forgot about the Czech and Slovak leagues! They are on the second place together with NLA.
Hi
First post but I think like some people said hope to see all missing leagues from EHM 2007. After that nice to see Swiss, Italian, French, Poland and MOL. But most like to see lower levels from major leagues like Czech, Slovakia, Russia. It would be very nice to promote teams from lower levels to 1st level. Like HC in FM Best regards from Poland!

I played Football Manager 2000-2015 - for over 15 yrs - & what i liked the most about the game was the World Cup & all the other international competitions was totally playable so u could manager any country so i hope that EHM EA goes the same way - that is i hoped the IIHF World Championship DivisionS II & III will be included & be playable as ice hockey got fans in all countries yes even in South Africa and all the other "minor" ice hockey playing countiries. I wish that u can managered any minor country playing in lower levels of IIHF World Championships which will be fun trying to get your country to the next division or if the main World Championships as it will be authentic to to the real competition & u might even find good players in these nations.
Keep the good work up guys
Paddy
I think that would also require a larger structure underneath the whole game (like in FM, even if you didn't have national leagues loaded for a lot of places, those teams still existed in theory for international competitions.... like I played a lot of teams from countries I didn't have loaded in friendlies and the Club World Cup).
That structure of course would be beneficial to everyone since it makes a FM-type editor easier to use, so this user base would create a lot of content for the game and do the legwork for SI making things.
As Swiss I definitly would love the NLA or even better also the NLB playable in this game.
As a fan of a 3rd tier Hockey team the 3rd tier league"1. Liga" would be a dream, which probably will stay a dream.
Leagues in other countries I'd like to see would be: NCAA, DEL(and lower german leagues), EBEL,(even if I don't like the current format)Champions Hockey League

NCAA playable would be amazing. I would spend so much time there, instead of NHL and ECHL like I do now. Instead of offering paid contracts, you could use that same interface and structure already in the game to pitch and recruit instead, maybe. I'd spend so much time in the NCAA if you could do that...
USHL might be nice too, and if you're going to do USHL you may as well do NAHL (the next tier down) as well I suppose.
My BIGGEST thing though is I want to be able to create an entire league from scratch and add it to the existing leagues. Bring back the International Hockey League!
