LA out. And Boston almost out now. 8-) Cool to see "new" teams making the playoffs this year.

Crossing my fingers for Pittsburgh to get a win in the last two. As much as an antagonist is nice to have in the playoffs, i prefer if Marchand and Lucic take an early summer. I predict a Rangers - Blackhawks final.

The Penguins only need 1 point to make the playoffs. They win the tiebreaker with Boston and Ottawa.
Normally I would say it's highly unlikely that they don't get 1 points in 2 games, but the way they've been playing theses past few months, who knows! :dunno:

At least, if they don't manage to get a point tonight against the Isles, they have one last change against the Sabres tomorrow.

[A-team modus]If your team is in trouble and you desperately need points, maybe you can play... The Penguins (Ratatatatatatata)

So clear that the PEnguins need some serious changes to their player lineup. They are not getting things done as a group and do not like each other. Shake up big time time. Their coach is an awesome dude and will let them play, so there is something else that is an issue. Oh well...will not miss the 200000000 hours of Sid Crosby coverage CAnadian TV is fond of providing. With no him and no leafs we might actually get to hear about other things and other teams and other players.

Lol I hear you there. NBC in the States has got to be worse about endlessly talking about Crosby and the North American star players. Meantime they ignore Geno and anyone else if they weren't born in the western hemisphere.

Meh I think the TV says enough about Malkin too. God there was a game awhile back between Ottawa and Winnipeg and they spoke more about Crosby Malkin Kessel Tyler freaking Bozak and Dion Phadoofus than they did anyone on the Jets or Sens (pre hamburglar)

Monahan jersey ordered to go along with my Brodie, Backlund, and Gaudreau :) The only bad news is that our draw for play-off tickets landed us in the bleeders. But, with the team deciding to do a lottery system that allows you to even buy tickets, I'll take the guaranteed seats anyday :)

Funny that our 3mil/y posession black hole aka Sutter shot us into the playoffs....no seriously, the Pens are a mess right now and will be one and done in the playoffs. Instead of getting younger and more mobile, speedy during the offseason, Rutherford continued to throw picks out of the window (Winnik could be had during the offseason instead wasting 2nd rounders on him) and mismanaging younger assets (Despres for useless Lovejoy), signing Greiss for 1mil despite having Zatkoff as backup who showed last season that he´s more than capable handling those backup duties. Cap mismanagment led to Pens playing with only 5 d-men for prolonged time and that is unexcusable. Rutherford ran Carolina/Hartford into the ground and in his first season with the Pens he showed some good signs of doing the same here.

For Pens fans I think that Rutherford has to go. Trading for Lovejoy was laughable and I'm not sure he knows what he's doing now. If they're not careful they will mismanage Crosby and Malkin's prime years. Instead of trading picks, maybe they should keep them and draft better

I bet he liked the weather too much to leave :D Lots of old people retire there, fits him well :)

On a more serious note i like his choice of resigning, Florida has an interesting team and he will be part of the top-6 so he can climb even further in the overall standings... maybe he can reach 1900?

He's said himself half-joking that he will play until 50 :) I doubt that but looking at him play i think he has atleast 2 more seasons in him at this level, maybe even 3-4...
