I think it probably wouldn't hurt if SI put a video about EHM on their official YT channel as well. I had forgotten about it until a vid about the FM classic 15 coming to tablets was released today.

~10000 copies is probably the magical limit to keeping EHM alive as a low-budget game, at $15 it is enough to keep 2-3 people working on it at least part-time. If the price of the full version is raised by another $10 you could probably employ those 2-3 people full-time. It's nice to see that they've gotten there so quickly.

They'll have to move a lot more copies to make it a "real" game with licences and whatnot though.

Yeah, my comparison to PCM works but i forgot to add the different prices to the equation... PCM is priced at €40 so that changes it of course... Still think the numbers for EHM look really good for being in Early Access and only being out for 2 weeks...

They're close to 10K now. I agree that a video would help convert a lot of new people.

If there's anyone that still hasn't bought the game yet, you can now buy EHM:EA on the Humble Bundle website. You'll get the Steam codes to redeem and also help a charity. It's the same price as it is on Steam.

Sports Interactive should be looking to push this through the team blogs etc on SBNation with the Play Offs coming up.

Is there any way to provide financial support to this franchise should sales figures not meet expectation? I would be more than willing to make a personal contribution to ensure EHM does not get cancelled again. Im sure many others would too. Thank you too everyone who has made this possible. I never ever thought this would happen! :)

You could buy more copies of the game on Steam. There's an option to buy games as gifts. I know one user here mentioned buying several copies and giving them to friends to help get the word out.

Yes sales will drive this game.

I honestly don't really care about the Licensing... if they can make a fantastic game, we can just use mods.

Plus there's something really speacial knowing I've downloaded other people's great work to make my game great.

We don't need no dumb licenses. I'm happy with the mod community... we can do it the way we want it.

But if the game gets full backing then that means that a few of those guys that do alot of work with these databases can make it their full time job which would benefit us all :)

I love the idea HaHa but I'm not sure "full backing" would mean paid researchers. The databases for EHM, EHM05 and EHM07 were all from volunteers, OOTP has a volunteer team, FHM has a volunteer team...

I'm not sure that's the case. I really hope that were true and who knows. But as Nino says, the research work has always been unpaid voluntary work for EHM and FHM.

Partially agree with you, but it would be cool to have as much leagues licensed as possible :)

So was anyone else paid besides you Alessandro? This is the first I've heard of an EHM researcher being paid (and every reference I have seen before said it was unpaid)

Everyone of us was paid. Among the ones you know me, mne2, and Vikke. Other guys are disappeared, unfortunately.
EDIT: and JeffR, of course.

The WC seems to have boosted that. :joy: Even though it's not really the biggest event in the hockey world at least it reaches various nations. ;)

Looks like 17,728 copies of EHM:EA owned now.

I'd say keep promoting the game wherever you can. There's more room for it to grow still. I don't know what their target for early access sales was, but I personally think they've done quite well at this point.
