Hey guys, yeah I'm brand new to the game been messing around with stuff, I have somewhat of an idea of what to do but the only thing I was wondering is how many leagues do you guys check off when starting a new league file?
If I don't check off a league, does it still exist in my game? Advancing days just takes a really long time and I'm wondering if that's the nature of the game or if I'm jsut being an idiot.
Also, secondary question, is there any easy ways to create players within the game?

Re: (Noob) Simming Question
You're right - the more leagues you select, the slower the game will be (equally, using a larger DB setting slows things down significantly). It's just a case of experimenting to see what sort of speed is acceptable to you. Also, you can use the View Only setting rather than Enhanced when selecting leagues - this means the league will be simulated but in lesser detail (and therefore it's a bit quicker).
If you don't select a league then it won't be simulated in the background. However, players will still develop and they'll still build up stats/histories regardless of which league they're in. Which leagues I select depends on what team I'm coaching. If I'm coaching in North America then I tend to select all North American leagues (as well as Canada) - using a combination of Enhanced and View Only settings. If I'm coaching in Europe, I might select a couple of similar Euro leagues and maybe one or two North American leagues.
As for player creation - you can use the Pre-Game Editor to add players to a DB (you must edit an EHM 2007 format DB and then import it into EA). You cannot add/edit players in a saved game.

I always select all the leagues/countries, all set to view-only except the one I'm playing in plus a few others.wilson1379 wrote:...the only thing I was wondering is how many leagues do you guys check off when starting a new league file??

Re: (Noob) Simming Question
I select all leagues and put them all on Enhanced with a large database. I'm not bothered by processing speed as long as I have as much detail running as possible. That said, the game is still REALLY fast for me but I guess it just depends on your computer setup.

Re: (Noob) Simming Question
I've always played with all available Leagues on Enhanced (and with a Full database).wilson1379 wrote:I was wondering is how many leagues do you guys check off when starting a new league file?
I've never cared that it takes longer to sim myself, because an actual simulation of the actual events in games that are actually played is what I want.

Re: (Noob) Simming Question
Absolutely everything must be available that can be. Otherwise what is the point in playing a sim that is supposed to be realistic?
Heh...reading Nino post as I wrote this one. So what he says.

Re: (Noob) Simming Question
Yes absolutely.
I was just wondering that if leagues weren't selected or if they were set to view only, how they worked.
I definitely want as much detail and accurate sims as I can get so waiting a bit longer is certainly worth it.
Thanks for the answers.
