Hi. I'm brand new to the game (playing the EA game, not 2007), but have long experience with a number of other sports sims (FM, OOTP, etc.)
Is there any place within the game where you can see the maximum number of coaches/scouts the board will allow you? I know in FM there's a screen where it tells you your current number of personnel and recommended number, but if it's in EHM, I've as of yet been unable to find it. Also, is there any way to view the relative strength of your coaching assignments (for instance, how much it would hurt you to assign a coach to three areas of practice vs. two, as there is in FM?)

I don't believe that it is possible to see the maximum number of coaches and scouts. There might not be a maximum at all for those staff positions.
Also there is no such thing as viewing the relative strength of coaching assignment. I usually try to have a conditioning coaches that does the skating and fitness, then a coach for each defensemen and forwards and a coach doing exclusively goaltenders.

1 head coach, 5 assistant coaches, 15 scouts, 3 trainers. Just knowledge I have from trial and error. Don't need to see it, just learn and memorize it.
