Adding a head coach to an AHL team

Post by Allarms »

How do I add a head coach or a coach in general to an ahl team? Im just a GM to the boston bruins and I noticed that the coaches were terrible for providence so i wanted to sign a few to my affiliate but i didn't see an option to do so. I searched the forum but didn't really see anything. This is for the early access ehm.

Create a GM for your AHL team, and hire/fire as you please (and you can set the GM Options so you don't have to do to much most of the time, but by taking control of your AHL team you can improve the coaching that players get, as well as ensuring players get the icetime you want them to)

How do I do that?

Click on the little gear icon next to the date, top right of the screen...from the dropdown list that appears select Add General Manager

You can have a maximum of 30 human GMs (regardless of what League they're in)

I'm trying to do this but when I go to add a GM it only allows me to add an NHL GM, no other leagues are selectable. When I go to the Selected Leagues screen, it doesn't allow me to check a box for any of the other leagues. Did I screw up when I started the game, I'm already in 2032 so not really interested in starting over...

Did you select the AHL as active league at the start of the game menu? if you did not you will not be able to add the GM as the league is not active. If you did, you need to look closer, there is a pull down menu to change leagues.
