Yes. Parents/guardianship. It is a legal issue, and would be hard to do. Changing where he was born in game is a big issue. But Lazarev was eligible for regular draft in the CHL league he was drafted into, because his parents or guardian had formally moved to that place. Sometimes it is just paper shuffling to show that they did move from Russia, or whatever other protected area a player moved from. Witness to the opposite. Sid Crosby played in Minnesota at Shattuck, but his junior eligibility was Q because his family still resided in the Maritimes. This happens alot especially with American kids.

But Javs--It was a formal rule that came into play 2 years ago. They grandfathered in a couple of Euro goalies that were playing in the WHL already Bartosak in Red Deer and the Finnish kid in Swift. But as of the 2014 draft no Euro goalies were allowed to be drafted or listed to a CHL team. Unless they can prove live in North America...then they go through the CHL Draft for their area.

No playing one season in NA is not enough. Trust me,..... there would be a flood of Euro goalies coming through trying to beat the system should that be the case. It is not.


It is not PERMANENT resident as in Nationality, green card etc. It is residence of his legal guardian. They have to move and show they live in North AMerica. Not just sending the kid over and billeting him. They can give up legal guardianship, but have to actually sign the legal binding agreement to do so. A hoop to keep them away. Silly protectionism by the CHL but that is another story all together.



EDIT: READ The elite prospects article linked. He established residency to go through the OHL Draft. Well...he did not...his family did. Somehow...through guardianship or moving themselves.

At the beginning of the 3rd NHL season, no AI arranged exhibition games.

On that subject, the AI just arranged an exhibition game the day before I play my first NHL game. I can't see any way to cancel them either.

I using TBL roster without any modification at all..

before, I played for 1 season so far so good, when starting 2nd season, the problem arise..

I try load another saved games which using same database, and so far so good, no problem at all..

for this only got problem, so i try restart new game with same database, and so far running ok..

I just finished my third season and I am now trying to dump off some unwanted salary in trades, but I can't. I added Cam Atkinson (3.5million) and Fedor Tyutin (4.5million) into a trade with Ottawa and no money was deducted from my salary cap. I then added Cody Ceci (1.6million) into the trade on Ottawa's side and it added Ceci's salary to my salary cap without deducting Cam and Fedor's. Neither of the two players have NTC's or anything like that, and I really need the cap space to resign important players like Johansen, Nyquist, and Honka.

I don't know how to post pictures but this is what happened.

Blue Jackets Cap - 72 million
I add Tyutin (4.5m) and Atkinson (3.5m)
Blue Jackets Cap - No change, 72 million
Sens cap - 67 million
I add Ceci (1.6m)
Sens Cap - 65.4m
Blue Jackets cap - 73.6m

Am I missing something here? Or is this just a gamebreaking bug?

I think something is wrong with the date coding in the news in this one. Tough to sign hime in June when it is July and the profile says th much more logical August.

This is just after the draft, like the first week of July.

I just closed and restarted the game and the problem was gone for a couple of minutes before starting again.

IS that cap hit or salary? One of them or more may have bonuses that are counting against the cap? Signing bonuses (Boni???? LOL). Not sure just asking. Also, maybe transferred Cap to 24 highest paid players on the team for off season (as the game does), hence the reason for the increase.

Not sure if it's a bug, personality of a player or user error:

In Finland 3, default databse, Lari Morsky has been unhappy with many different practice schedules. (I have coach controlling practice turned off).

First it was a new position, then went to normal in all but Tactics and shooting, no goaltending. Still unhappy. Went to resting, unhappy. Everything normal with no goaltending, unhappy. Intense conditioning and skating, everything else light (no goaltending). Unhappy.

I'm at a loss- I think it's a bug, or does someone have advice?

Are you getting memos he is unhappy with the practice schedule? Is he blaming that? What does his scout report say about his attitude? Sounds like a guy you do not want on your team.

I was getting messages about once a week, that's when I'd change it.

Finally got him to stop by going to Right Wing practice, then back to general. I feel like a couple of times the 'flag' or whatever within the game isn't always recognizing the 'unhappy' practice schedule has been changed (Like messages with the Canucks for guys in the ECHL unhappy with practice).

No mental attributes from my scouts (they are 10/10 and 8/14 in scouting, so not exactly studs).

Yeah think it is just a delay in him being ticked off with whatever practice sched he was on, before recognizing change. He would stay showing as unhappy for a bit, because it takes awhile to get over it. But in all my time in EHM I have only had one player do this, and I Remember who....Keith Ballard on tactical schedule--lots of conditioning.

I ended up just waiving Tyutin because I couldn't find a way to trade him without increasing/not changing my salary totals. I checked his contract and it didn't look like he had any bonuses attached to him, so I still don't know why this was happening. Is there any way to report a bug to the developers?

Still guessing it is not a bug. This is an issue that you have had, but noone else has. I am guessing that it was off season totals and you really did not have to do the waiver, that it would have corrected itself in October. If others see it and post screen shots I will believe it, but there are alot of people playing this game and this is the only report of something of this kind, so I tend to think there is something odd going on for you personally in your game that you may be missing, not a bug in the game.

Ok one question...once in Philly challenge happend to me that Ovechkin scored from his goalie zone almost on my goal and now that i play Austrian championship and im in overtime and again looked like opponents wanted to dump the pack and to my half and boom a goal...and we are talking here that he shot on goal almost from behind his goalie`s goal. Dont look realistic at all...

1. The 2D screen is not perfect, neither is play by play. But have a look at the play by play and see if it is different for that.

playing NHL into my 3rd season and game is locking up at a specific time of the season when simming from Tue Feb 21 / 2017 to Wed Feb 22 / 2017, game says processing and a Not Responding game crashed window pops up.

This is trade deadline time so maybe a ton of events occurring ?
waited a couple of minutes and it's not coming back.
