[EHM:EA] Moving teams to diffferent leagues
Hi! I would like to move Färjestad BK from the Swedish Hockey League to the Kontinental Hockey League(considering a swedish team is most likely joining sooner or later) and try my luck. But I don't know how to do it and wouldn't like to break any leagues or anything(maybe a lower tier league if needed) and don't want a russian named team in SHL, so I would reall appreciate if someone knew how to do this.
Thanks in advance/Azy

1) Download the Pre-Game Editor.
2) Make a backup of the database you wish to modify, located in "Eastside Hockey Manager/data/database".
3) Open Pre-Game Editor, move Färjestad into KHL, one KHL team to the Vysshaya Liga, then Vysshaya Liga team to Perrvaya Liga, and Perrvaya Liga team to Vtoraya Liga. (I think this was the order. You can check it by comparing the reputation values in "Club Competitions" tab.)
4) Move Allsvenskan team to SHL, Second Division team to Allsvenskan etc.
5) Save, open EHM and import your modified database.
Now, I have not edited the Early Access version nearly as much as 2007, so I am not absolutely sure this works. The fact that KHL has conferences may require editing the import configuration file, but try following these steps and see how far you get.

Re: [EHM:EA] Moving teams to diffferent leagues
Sounds like you're trying to edit an EHM:EA database. The EHM 2007 Pre-Game Editor can only edit EHM 2007 databases. You need to edit an EHM 2007 DB and then import into EA.
Note that you cannot switch leagues for teams in playable leagues if you're using the 2014 Rule Set in the import_config.cfg. It should be ok with 2006 Rule Sets.

Oh, I did not know that. Will it be possible with the editor you are working on?archibalduk wrote:Note that you cannot switch leagues for teams in playable leagues if you're using the 2014 Rule Set in the import_config.cfg. It should be ok with 2006 Rule Sets.

Re: [EHM:EA] Moving teams to diffferent leagues
With ehm-EA I know it has 30 teams and such but with the changes to OHL and AHL we can rename the teams or move them back and worth to echl and what not like we can for ehm 2007 with the pregame?

Re: [EHM:EA] Moving teams to diffferent leagues
Because the Import function in EHM:EA makes pre-defined changes to the database upon import to ensure that the EHM 2007 database has the correct league structures.
If you want move playable teams then you have to play with the 2006 rule set.
