TBL Rosters 2014-15 Mistakes, omissions, tweaks etc

At a quick glance of the new 7.4 database, every player I checked from xxxxx, Ontario, Canada shows: xxxxx, Virginia, Canada ... much as they may want to the states haven't invaded us yet ...

Really sorry about that. There was a minor typo in the Updater v3.0.0b code which meant that it was going through each record in the Cities table but not actually doing anything (i.e. not updating the State ID for each record). Hence they all became mismatched.

FYI Just to show how tiny the typo in the Updater was, here's a screenshot of the issue (BEFORE) and fixed typo (AFTER):

I just wanted to record my vote of thanks to everyone involved in the TBL rosters. They make the game that much more enjoyable. Thanks for all of your hard work on this.

We haven't updated that for years, if ever.
I think it is a game issue

I had never messed with the pre-game editor before, and was unable to fix the ECHL with it. I was however, able to fix the cap issue by editing the transfer_rules_config.cfg file. It was pretty simple.

It still works a bit funny, but now at least you can sign some players.

Jeff Blashill still isnt listed as coach of the Grand Rapids Griffins.

Will using the first released 7.4 roster really be that different for a play through? I am only at the TDL for my first season but I have put a lot of effort into my teams and prospects and I am hesistant to restart unless I am really missing out on something.

I might have put him as GM/Head coach. Then he'd be let go if you took over the team.
I did so with some AHL coaches as if we let the GM position be available at start up, then the game would fill that position with GMs from other leagues.
Now that is an option at start up so I won't have them as GM/Head coaches in the future.

Well, you don't have correct play roles for players so their development might not fit their IRL-style.

Yes it should be a lot better. We have added the Player Role settings to all NHL contracted players (and many more; over 7,000 players in total). The Player Role setting should allow EHM to create more realistic sets of attributes for players. I think it's worth it for that alone. However, as this is something new, it's something we all need to test and see whether the Roles are working correctly in game. I'm sure EHM will need some tweaking in terms of patches to finesse the Roles system.

The old name was never right and it's indicating that the team is the actual Kotkan Titaanit's academy team (like e.g. JYP-Akatemia (Fin-2) is to Jyväskylän JYP (Fin)). However, there is no ''Kotkan Titaanit'' to be found in the game and the Akatemia seems to have real Titaanit's players, staff and info.

Also, I did mention this in the Resarch Lab but, Jyväskylän Riemu should be Liikunnan Riemu. That's their actual name.

Justin Faulk is incorrectly assigned as a right shooting LD/RD when he has played his entire professional career at RD.
Ron Hainsey is mis-assigned as a left shooting RD, when he is almost always on the left side (though he can play okay on the right).
Michal Jordan is wrongly assigned as a left shooting RD, when he has always played on the left.
Trevor Carrick is actually a left shooting LD, not a right shooting LD as configured in the 7.4c roster (see http://hurricanes.nhl.com/club/player.htm?id=8476953).

Thanks. Funny thing is that I worked on the Carolina few days ago. So I already fixed all of these.
But not Carrick as he's a Righty on Eliteprospects: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=69391 But now I see the picture of him on Eliteprospets I see that he's a lefty.
The rest of the guys have now "correct" position / same as you stated.

Well I did know they went bankrupt at some point but Eliteprospects.com still lists them as just ''Kotkan Titaanit'' so that's why I was confused.
