Roster limits on echl teams, 2007, 6.3

Post by Philly48 »

Hey guys
I had a problem for quite some time now, so today i decided to do some more research on the subject. Personally i always played the 2011 versions, in here flyers had a ahl team. This ahl team could hold 30+ players without any error messages about roster being full. When trying the 6.0+ versions of the roster updates flyers now got an echl team instead. This leads to the team having max 20 players in the farm team, no matter what. I decided to try some more teams, so i tried to gm flames and ducks aswell. Just like flyers i can send 30+ players to the ahl team but have a strict 20 player maximum on the echl teams.

So...

Is there any way to increase the player limit in the echl league? Or is there any way to make the flyers farm team a ahl team instead of a echl team? I understand this works trough the pre-game editor but i couldn't find any options to move teams or to increase player limit. Also if i go under the "Affilitations" tab, there is not even a team named "adirondack phantoms".

If you read ""Why are some teams in the wrong League?" (top of the page, in red) you'll understand why sometimes an NHL team will have an ECHL affiliation and no AHL affiliation

No, not really (maybe through hexediting, but no one's done it before)

To move the Flyers farm team from the ECHL to the AHL you go to Clubs tab in the PreGame Editor and swap out the Division/Other Division/Last Division with an AHL team and that's it. The "player limit" (Max Goalies & Max Skaters) you refer to can be found on the Affiliations tab; IIRC these limits can be used when teams share an affiliation

That would be because the Adirondack Phantoms are an affiliation, they don't have an affiliation (so if you look up the parent club, the Philadelphia Flyers, you'll see Adirondack)

Alright, ty for the fast responce :) With your guidance i managed to move adirondack to the ahl and my ahl team now got 48 players instead of 20 :D The game now instantly crashes when i try to set a gamemode in echl, but i guess that's from the stated info above. With the team in the ahl it's no longer needed tho. I can finally try the 6.3 version without going crazy on prospect limitations in my farm team atleast :) You been very helpful, ty again.

It shouldn't crash! Did you "swap' the two teams? You can't just put the ECHL team (Adirondack) in the AHL...whatever AHL team you replaced with Adirondack, that AHL team should now have the ECHL Division/Other Division/Last Division that Adirondack formally had

Swapped two teams straight up now, the game works fine even with echl enabled :) So ty again.

There's nothing for SI to fix, the Brampton Beast are in the ECHL in EHMEA

The "import process" allows two options, a 2006 setup or a 2014 setup.

There is currently no way of editing a 2014 database...and you can't look at a 2007 database and say "that's what it'll look like in-game in EHMEA using the 2014 setup" because the import process moves teams around, changes the number of teams, playoff setups, rules, etc (so in-game things are correct for 2014-15); and currently such things in the import process are not editable, you just choose 2006 or 2014

What league they are listed in with the editor does not matter(if you use 2014 ruleset)
Brampton is in the ECHL in the game.
The TBL database doesn't work with EHM 2007 any longer
