Hello ladies,
I am working on the OHL just curious on what peoples thoughts on the current DB are? Keep in mind I will be working on the individual teams prospects / protection list next.

It needs a lot of work, in my opinion.
- Scoring is way down from actual levels. In five years the highest scoring champion has been 89 points, lowest 75 points. In real life the last two scoring champions have had over 125 points. There's on average 4-5 kids that hit 100 points in a year.
- In addition, goalies could be improved. There's normally ~15 goalies that post .900% or higher, with the highest at .925-.930%. Goalies in EHM don't perform that well.
- Which leads us to the team problem, not enough goals! Over five years, the team with the most goals in EHM score 242 to 274 goals. In real life, top teams score from 290-340 goals.
- Player's roles are sometimes inaccurate. I.e. Sean Day is listed as a Defensive Defensemen - quite the opposite in real life.
- Kind of an OHL/NCAA problem, but sometimes college bound players don't sign with any NCAA program, and play with the USNTDP until they're 20 (ex. Bracco, Hanifin etc.). In reality they have a U18 team and a U17 team.
- 16 year olds often play spurn the OHL in EHM and don't sign with their OHL teams, despite wanting to play in the OHL. This doesn't happen in real life (Unless they want to play NCAA, but there are players like that in EHM anyways).
- The OHL draft isn't very strong. Players have very weak Technical and Physical attributes.
- Lastly, the players overall aren't as good as they should be. McDavid's Speed, Agility, Accelerations are only 13, 14 and 13. Deking is a 7. These are some of his top attributes in real life. Strome scored a career high in points of 59 in all my saves. He had 129 in real life. Marner has a high of 65 points in EHM. He had 126 last year in real life. Matthew Tkachuk is a top 5 prospect for 2016. He doesn't get drafted in EHM.
I realize you probably don't oversee all of these issues, but they're some of the biggest ones with the OHL.

Re: OHL Database - Feedback?
The low-scoring is most likely due to game issues. As are most of the issues you mentioned, toddpaul.
Are you using 7.4c? That is the only db with updated player roles

Ya, even with 7.4c the scoring is low. I'll look at re-rating the goalies, but in my test sims they seemed alright.

I donno if its just my game or not what but the belleville bulls aka Hamilton Bulldogs prospects that they drafted in real life the top 5 or 6 picks arent even ranked in ehm ea however some of their later picks are ranked 150-200 but their top 5-6 players like strome and webb and such arent even in the top 200 ranked... just something to look at but then again it could just be my db that automatically generates the attributes..

Only some of the 2015 draftees are properly rated, so the game will randomize them a lot.BulldogsFan wrote:I donno if its just my game or not what but the belleville bulls aka Hamilton Bulldogs prospects that they drafted in real life the top 5 or 6 picks arent even ranked in ehm ea however some of their later picks are ranked 150-200 but their top 5-6 players like strome and webb and such arent even in the top 200 ranked... just something to look at but then again it could just be my db that automatically generates the attributes..
They will of course be looked at but it is very time-consuming and it is hard to rate such young players
