RS09 Cards Template - Help needed

Post by Devils88 »

Hi Community.

Some of you may remember that we once had Mug and Actionpictures combined in different Card-Styles. My favorite was the RS09 Card style created by Andyjayp.
I contacted Andyjayp to get the template, but he don't has it anymore. Also Archie doesn't have it.
So if there is someone else who has the template, it would be great. Please sent me a PM. :-D

Although i tried to copy the template with some other ones. (TBL Style and AJ09 Style) Now i have a template in place, but the special effect - the flags - are missing.
In Photoshop, i tried different brushes but could not get the same effect. Also searched the web for flags styled the same way - also no sucess.
Does someone know how to create this special flag effect in Photoshop? :-?

Here's a Card in RS09 Style (so that everybody knows what i'm talking about)
Image

thx, D88.

Can't really help with the actual question, just popping into say: those would be awesome for EA as well. Mug and action pick in one!

I searched all of my offline files, but cannot find a copy of the template.

You could try sending a PM to Andy in case he still has his template: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/me ... ile&u=1359

He still seems to visit here, but if you don't hear from him then let me know and I can try to contact him on Facebook.

D88, I totally forgot to reply back to you. I found the template floating round in cyberspace, after an afternoon of searching my computers for it.

Here is the link to the actual PSD file for the RS09 template. I'm glad that something I designed almost 6 years ago is still being enjoyed to this day.

On the topic of designing something, I've been working on a new template/card/whatever... here's a sample of what I've done so far.

Yay! Andy is here! It's always nice having one of the old crew show up. Between Andyjayp and D88, we had some killer cardsmiths working here. :notworthy:

Nice to see you here again. :joy:

I really like the new card design. Although I do find the TBL logo slightly distracting. Maybe semi-transparent or not there at all?

I wouldn't go just by my feedback! :D Personally I find the logos slightly distracting (but don't get me wrong, I love the style of text and blue/grey bars). But I'm sure others will prefer the logo there - so please don't adjust them on my account. :-)

Its always good to get feedback and try and find a medium ground. I think i personally prefer the logo slightly faded... :-D

you want feedback. here's mine. ;)
Different to Archi I don't like the style of text and blue/grey bars. Personally i find the font hard to read.
Archi don't wants TBL promoted (Logo). :-p
If a Logo - better semi-transparent.
Is this Template only used for Actionpics, as i don't see any mugshots included??

I on the other hand liked the logo more visible, because now it gets messy if the background behind it is confusing. But I don't feel strongly either way. Looks good

Anyway, the card style is AWESOME! =P~ :notworthy: :joy:
