Failed to start game (app already running)

HI,
To each time I want to launch the game that puts to me:"failed to stars game(app already running)".
I started again several times my computer and I started again several times steam and that still doesn't work.
Please help me.

PS: Sorry for my english I speak French.

Try creating a desktop shortcut to the game (you can create one using Steam). Then edit the Properties of the shortcut by ticking the "run as administrator" option. See if that works.

Thank you for your answer, but I disconnected my computer and that worked again!

Hi,

I have this same problem, app already running. EHM always starts and I saw it in task manager list. I have done my homework with Google but nothing seems to help in eliminating the problem.

I have tried to
- restart Steam (several times)
- running game in administrator
- running Steam in administrator
- verifying game (several times)
- restart computer (several times)
- reinstalling EHM
- renaming steamapps folder and after that install EHM again
- killing EHM with task manager (several times)
- starting Steam offline and back online

Non of this works and I am little bit frustrated just now ](*,) .

I would be grateful if someone find or know something else I could try next?

EDIT: I forgot to say that EHM work normally few hundreds hours and this problem came without warning.

EDIT2: Problem solved. I did a little bit of this and that, and as a result, I was forced to install windows again. Stunning performance from myself =D> :rant: =D>
