I'll flag this with Riz. I'm not sure why team names are having an effect as Riz previously mentioned the imported goes by Team ID only.

Re: HOW TO: Import an EHM 2007 database into EHM:EA
If anyone has some time I would appreciate some help. I am trying to import the v6.3 rosters so that I can start in the 2013-14 season, but there seem to be some errors. The number of teams doesn't seem to lineup in the WHL, the Russian league, and there seems to be a problem importing one of the ECHL teams. Anyone know or can figure out a fix for it?

When you start a new game on the first screen starting a new game, you have to tick all the countries teams and leagues you want to appear in the game and then in "preferences" put your "Default database size" to full or else some ofStormsky wrote:If anyone has some time I would appreciate some help. them may not show up. I hope that will work out for you. Of course you have to import the database too beforehand. Maybe you already know these things,so.

Sorry if this was not clear - the error is when I try to import the database. It does its thing, and then spits out about 5 errors and says the database can't be imported.

Oh, I guess you'll have to wait for some of the experts on the database stuff as I'm not one of them. Sorry about that...Stormsky wrote:Sorry if this was not clear - the error is when I try to import the database. Not sure about the exact problems you listed.....TBLer mpronger solved the issue for the v6.1 rosters (go back to June 19th in this thread to mpronger's post/explanation)Stormsky wrote:If anyone has some time I would appreciate some help. Oops, my bad. I had no problem using mpronger's instructions and I got the UUDB v6.1 working just fine. I was actually talking about the TBL v6.3 rosters, the ones for the 13-14 season. The errors I get there are not the same as for the UUDB rosters, so I imagine some other things need to be tweaked, but I don't think I can figure out what needs to be changed on my own.

The only thing I can think of is does your import_config file say
"START_YEAR" 2013
"DEFAULT_RULE_SET" 2006

Thanks nino. For some reason I assumed that since 2013 was post-realignment that I had to set the rule set to 2014. Once I changed it to 2006 there were no problems.

Updated Rosters Won't Show Up
As a vivid nhl 15 GM mode player, I bought ehm so that me and my friends could play together in a more in depth GM mode environment. However, while downloading rosters, The downloaded rosters will not show up while starting a new game. I have looked at video tutorials and such and it still isn't working. I don't want to recommend this game to my friends if they are going to have the same experiences I am. Help?

Did you import the rosters? See the import function at the start screen.

It needs to be imported first.
Did you place it into the data/database folder?

Re: Updated Rosters Won't Show Up
Just to be sure, this is where you have the rosters http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/wiki/inde ... ion_Folder
Because if you do, you should be able to import them (and then once imported, you should be able to select them to start a game)

Re: TBL Rosters Crash/Malfunction Thread
Sorry for posting this again here as I just made a thread earlier but after changing my zip file extractor I am running into the same issue as before. After I place the rosters in the data/database I go to import the rosters, only for nothing to show up. Not sure what to do since I have looked at all tutorials and README files.

Re: TBL Rosters Crash/Malfunction Thread
Is it possible the folder you're putting into data/database has another folder inside of it that's the actual database? i.e. a folder within a folderHockeyJ wrote:Sorry for posting this again here as I just made a thread earlier but after changing my zip file extractor I am running into the same issue as before. Sorry for you, not sure what else to suggest. It has worked for many thousands of people, so it should workHockeyJ wrote: Not sure what to do since I have looked at all tutorials and README files.

When I follow these steps, the TBL 7.3 does not show up in both when you start the game and in import database.

When I try to install v8.0a, it gives me an error about being unable to find/load the database file. The database file doesn't seem to be in the zip. Am I doing something wrong? I got 7.4 to work fine, but 8.0 and 8.0a will not work for me.

What do you mean by "install"?
You need to extract the downloaded files to a sub-folder within your Database folder. Then use the Import button in EHM.

I've imported 7.4 without a hitch, but 8.0 and 8.0a give me an error every time. I used the "import" button, loaded it well and good, but it has problems reading the database file, like it's looking for something that isn't there or has an error.
Thank you for the help!

Try opening up Steam, click once on EHM in your library and you should see the Steam Workshop for EHM on your screen.....the 8.0a Rosters are in the Steam Workshop, you just click Subscribe, then start a new game and the 8.0a Rosters should be available to select

I have the exact same problem. With the link provided in the download section, all the files have no main Data Base File in them (unlike in the instruction video) just a long list of .dat files. And when I tried to import the folder in the game it says error because ther's no database file.

You don't need to download and import the rosters, you can get them via the Steam Workshop.StarboardWinger wrote:I have the exact same problem.
