This update features many tweaks and improvements, including updated competition histories for the playable leagues and updated player histories for most players in the playable North American leagues as well as various players in other leagues. A HUGE THANK YOU to everybody who has worked tirelessly to bring us this update.
For the first time in the history of the updates, we are trialling using start of season rosters. This means that transactions are frozen as of the day before the start of the NHL season. There seems to be quite a lot of demand for start of season rosters and we think it will make our researching work easier as we can work on more parts of the database rather than having to spend our time constantly updating the same teams throughout the season. It also means we can avoid the usual cap hit issues which arise when using rolling roster updates. We will review this arrangement at the beginning of next season.
