Moving teams between leagues

Post by Chuck Bass »

First of all, I'm using the TBL roster 8.1a

I've tried editing, switching teams from certain leagues and I'm having a bit of trouble. The Norwegian league worked fine, but NHL and KHL seem to have the real life schedules, and I'm therefor unable to start games. Is there a way to remove these schedules?

No, schedules are created by the game, not database, and therefore not editable. Someone else might have a more precise answer as to what else can be done.

I'm moving this thread to the Data Editing Forum.

I *think* the schedules are now editable via the databases. But I haven't been able to decode that part of the database and so we cannot yet edit them.

Problem with adding new team to a league

Post by Chuck Bass »

I moved a foreign team to KHL and when i start the game I'm able to take control of the team. However, it doesn't show up in the KHL standings, the replaced team does.

As you can see, my team is in the division it's supposed to, but the wrong conference, and as stated doesn't show up in any of the standings. Anyone know what to do?

Have you tried editing an existing team in the khl, Changing the team colors, name, details and transfering all the players from the team you wanted to move over to the KHL?

How did you move the teams around? With an EHM07 database and the Pregame Editor or EHM Updater?
If you're editing an EHM07 database and then importing it into the new EHM, I think the "import_config file" is what you need to look at; this thread might help http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=14870

Or maybe you could try the new EHM 1 Editor (Beta) that Archi's been working on? http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 48&t=16014

I have also been trying to move teams between divisions to manually promote Telford and Peterborough to the Elite Ice Hockey League while manually relegating Dundee and Edinburgh.

I can get the teams to show in the correct selection screen using the new editor but Telford and Peterborough only have English Premier League Cup fixtures scheduled while Dundee and Edinburgh end up with Elite League, English Premier League and Challenge Cup fixtures scheduled ](*,)

What would you advise I should try to get this to work correctly?

Sounds like a Schedule or League Rules table might need editing too (unfortunately we cannot edit these with the Editor yet).

You could however try one of the following options when importing an EHM 2007 DB: http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=14870

Hi and thanks for the replies. I have been away for a while and not been able to check in.

Named: I kept Vålerenga in the Norwegian league. I added their reserve team to KHL and left Medvescak without a division.
erikhogberg: No, as I am unable to change city I haven't bothered.
nino33: I've tried both.
archibalduk: I tried that, but without success.

Try move main Valerenga to KHL, not reserve and check.

Ok, I'll try that. The idea was to keep a team in Norway as a farmer team. That was the intended idea back when moving to the KHL was a possibility irl.

Edit. No luck.
