I'm pleased to announce our first challenge using a team/league outside of North America! We'll be using Djurgårdens IF in a fairly straight-forward challenge. While we've got lots of folks here at TBL that are from Sweden (and other European countries), there are a whole lot of us that are NOT familiar with how things work in those leagues. This will be a learning experience for many of us. So to keep things simple, we're not going to have any challenge rules. Now a little bit of common sense applies. You can't cheat, obviously. We're just not going to have our normal stringent rules because there's no trades in this league.
Before we go any further, I'd like to thank Manimal and all of the TBL Rosters crew for their hard work on the roster databases. This is the last version of the database being released under Manimal's leadership. Nino will be taking over the reigns. Let's raise our sticks in salute to these guys!
I'd also like to thank Aahlstroem for writing up a basic guide for how things work in the SHL. N8boy also wrote one for the DEL but ultimately I chose to go with the SHL for this challenge. Thanks to both of those guys. Also, thanks to Nino for coordinating the help for getting this challenge underway.
First, download Aahlstroem's SHL Guide HERE.
Next, download the saved game that I created (so that we all start on even ground)... HERE. Put it in your saved games folder (usually... C:\Users\Your Computer Name\Documents\Sports Interactive\EHM\games).
Launch EHM and load the saved game named "Challenge 41 DIF". Fire the current GM named "TBL Challenge" and add yourself as GM to Djurgårdens IF, which will be in the SHL under Sweden.

Please keep in mind that the seasons in the SHL are shorter. You'll be logging your stats every 13 games.

UPDATE!
If your team ends up being demoted, you are not kick out of the challenge. Once you've been demoted you should enter your record (W-L-OSW-OSL) as 0's and your position as 15th. You can enter other stats as normal. If you make it back to the SHL, then you can proceed as normal.
Also please note that since our stats upload tool only has spots for W-L-OSL, you should add your OSW to your W when entering your stats.
