Same here. I've noticed this when I've tried a tactic with a checking line, so that the 3rd line is extremely strong with pokecheck, checking, etc. But they always end up with really bad ratings and stats.

Not sure if it's a minor bug, or if it's my game acting up. But I've noticed my scouts are giving false current ability for players. A guy playing on 2nd line has 1 star for current ability and 5 star potential. Yet he is more or less done in terms of growth. Doesn't seem to effect everyone though, like Kreider has 5 star so that is correct. Actually looking a bit more into it, it seems to only happen to my drafted players. :-k

I did have constant game crashes (stopped working) upon loading a save file yesterday. Does that mean my save file is corrupted btw? Never had that happen before. Or is it my game that is acting up? May need a fresh install perhaps?

Have you tried going on vacation for like 2-3 days to skip this date? Sometimes it helps to bypass those bugs.

Using the TBL 8.1a DB

I'm in 2019/2020, NHL, and some of the RFAs I have have been offering qualifying offers too (multiple times) still shows as unqualified - as if the history hasn't updated correctly.

Doesn't happen to all, as some offers change the player to qualified. No issues until this season

Any way to fix this?

Playing the current challenge (Djurgården in SHL) and I'm on year 2018. After 2 games in the final series the rest of the games got postponed a month because of world championships to 19th may which is after SHL contracts for that year runs out. I lost 10 players and my head coach since they didn't want to sign for another year. This isn't even the only schedule problem in this year, had 2 games on the same day earlier in the season as well. :dunno:

I've noticed in both my long saves that in Liiga the teams are signing too many foreign players. In first save Hifk had 0 Finnish players in their roster at some point (2030s) and in second save Jyp had only 4 Finnish players in their team (2026) :-k

Two things I wanted to post, not 100% they'd be considered bugs or quirks or just not functioning properly:

1) Doesn't seem like the "sliding contracts" always work right on ELCs. Example, I started as San Jose, who at the start have Nikolai Goldobin under ELC on loan to Sarnia for 2015-2016. The next year, 2016-17 he played in the AHL (should have been his first year of his ELC contract). It was the last year of his ELC and I had to resign him after just 1 year in the AHL, but I thought "sliding contracts" would have given me 2x more years. I also notice a lot of guys I sign in May/June end up with only 2 years left as of July 1.

2) I was negotiating a trade with Dallas 3 days before deadline, they never responded or negotiated with me even though they seemed favorable of the deal. Trade deadline passed and the trade was cancelled without any follow-up on the trade negotiation 3 days earlier. It just strikes me as unusual...especially considering on draft day you can negotiate back and forth 100 times without even advancing draft picks.

I looked up Goldobin in TBL 8.2 and he's on the San Jose Barracuda in the AHL, not Sarnia in the OHL

Wouldn't 2014-15 be his first year under contract with the Sharks? He signed in September 2014 and then played in the AHL and also (on Loan) on HIFK in Liiga during his 2014-15 season....wouldn't 2014-15 count as year one of the ELC? If so, can an ELC "pause" after starting?

You're right that he started with the Barracuda now that I think about it, but I immediately loaned him back to Sarnia. I thought there was like a "10-game" rule for players under 20 on an ELC where if they get loaned back, the contract slides out a year?

Yes, but he played the entire season in pro in 2014-15 (in the AHL and in Finland).....I'm guessing that started the ELC contract, so he's starting year 2 of the ELC at game start-up.....maybe once it's started it can't be paused/stopped?

I'm not sure your situation has ever happened in real life (a player playing an entire year in pro, and then being sent back to Major Junior the following year)

It looks like he played 9 AHL games and the rest of 2014-15 in Finland Liiga...I guess playing at the pro-level on an ELC starts it then? If that's the case, you are probably 100% right that it can't be "paused" once started. Though I know, for example, William Nylander in real life played 37 games in 14-15, but his contract slid because he didn't play any NHL games, but he was also drafted out of Europe, where Goldobin was drafted out of the CHL and loaned to Europe...maybe that's where the difference is? Being loaned to a professional level team?

Good example (Nylander) and questions, and I don't know the answers.....hopefully someone knowledgeable about such details will see this and answer

Yea, it's forced me to go in and look a bit deeper into the "sliding" rules for ELCs so I already feel like I've learned a bit about it with your help. I appreciate you running through this with me to try and help answer the question and figure things out...it may not be a bug as much as just a weird contracting quirk

I'm in year 2030 and a bug just popped up where injured players disappear from the roster until they're ready to play again. Kind of annoying because I can't remove them from the lineup without clearing all the lines.

Cap shows as 71.5 and your Avg Club Salary shows as 71.0, so you're half a million under the Cap, and given it's October 17th (and the season's started) I'd suspect you can't offer more because if he signed a larger contract you'd be over the Cap

but it happens even if im trying to sign a player who is gonna be in the minors and wont count against the cap.... so frustrating

Hi everyone,

Just got the All-Star game in my second season. Game is 22nd Jan and I have games on 23rd and 24th of Jan. Surely not right. Happening to anyone else?

Finally, World Championship. Roster corfirmation date is too early, so its impossible add players from NHL teams what finish at 1th round SC. And really joke in my save: WC in Russia - all games in Moscow (14k and 12k arenas), only final game Russia-Sweden in Novokuznetsk (8500 arena). After this stupidity I deleted all saves and going back to Footbal Manager ](*,)
The same issues bug me to the brink of madness. I'm managing the Finnish national team and the EHT is a complete joke. I can pick KHL players but no one else does. This results in Russia being incredibly weak and finishing last every single time. This is something that needs to be dealt with at some point. I also agree on the problems with World Championship. The game is quite satisfying otherwise but there are things like this that are really annoying.
