I am Robert Straif a 35 year old austrian who just decided it would be good to coach a NHL team. The problem ist - i have no hockey experience so no team in the NHL or the world would have hired me, but then a friend of mine got me an interesting offer. The Lethbridge Hurricanes would be willing to hire me he said ... and guess what, i set out to Lethbridge.
This team is interesting. A lot of solid players, but of course i wanted to shake up things so i did get quite a lot of new players from UFA market and through trades. A few other players saw me handing their papers and wish them good luck releasing them.
Lethbridge traded D Igor Merezhko to Edmonton for D Anatolii Elizarov
Nothing spectacular here ... just a defender swap. Somehow the more defensive Elizarov has gotten my smypathy more than Igor
Lethbridge traded Carter Folk to Vancouver for Ty Ronning
Ronning is two years younger at least twice as fast as Folk ... and his name sounds like an All star player. This season Ronning will probably see only 4th line and Power play time when the top stars are fit. But we believe in him
Lethbridge traded Jordy Bellerive to Kamloops for Deven Sideroff
While Bellerive is a great talent, Sideroff still has a few seasons in the WHL, has some great assets like his extremly powerful wrist shot combined with electrifying deking abilities. He will be our line 1 RW.
Lethbridge traded Jaeger White to Victoria for Ryan Gagnon
Lethbridge traded Justin Gutierrez to Regina for Brady Pouteau
Lethbridge traded Brandon Kennedy, rights to Jackson Salt and Lethbridges 14th round pick 2016 to Moose Jaw for Brayden Watts.
