Divisions/Conferences for 1972 DB

Post by Asher413 »

Good morning!

There is light on the end of the tunnel for my 72 DB (10 players from finishing the NHL/WHA players from '72-'73, so a beta quality isn't too far away).

With new options on alignments, I had a dilemma last night: Do I try to have the "NHL" divisions be aligned by geography, regardless if it's an NHL, WHA, or IHL team, or do I align the divisions based on their 'parent' leagues (Eastern Conference all NHL teams, Western conference would be WHA and the two IHL teams.

The same would be a question for the 'AHL'- do I work to keep the four leagues (AHL, IHL, CHL and WHL) mostly in their divisions, or go by geography.

I truly could go either way, so I'm seeking feedback.

As always, temper your expectations on my DB, I wasn't alive in '72, so I can't claim great accuracy on players from before my parents were even maried!
